BEAUTY & STYLE NEWS: News of the Past Week

This has been a big week for beauty news for Canadians and Americans alike! See below for our recap of this week’s biggest beauty stories!

Canadian fashionistas are rejoicing! Coveted fashion brand
ZARA is bringing online shopping to Canada! Mark March 6th, 2013 on your calendars as that’s when ZARA plans to roll out the Canadian online shopping experience. They’ve posted this teaser on their webpage:

Check out their hashtag
#dearcanada, and get ready to break out your plastic!

ZARA is one of Toronto Beauty Review’s favourite stores – they’ve been featured repeatedly in some RECENTLY ACQUIRED posts!

The big makeup news out of the US is the new collaboration between Rihanna and MAC Cosmetics! Over the next year, MAC and Rihanna will be rolling out four exclusive collections – including both a holiday and fall campaign.

Debuting May 4th, the collections will all be stamped with the appropriate ‘RiRi Love Mac’. Look for the first collection to start rolling out soon, with over 31 individual pieces (including eyelashes, eyeshadows, and lipsticks). All products will be sold at
MAC Cosmetics, online, and Rihanna’s upcoming concert tour.

Dynamite is a favourite brand of mine. It has perfect, stylish and affordable pieces for both the workplace and a night on the town. Luckily, Dynamite is taking a piece out of ZARA’s book and introducing online shopping to the mix!

This little teaser popped up on
Dynamite’s website this past week:

Dangerous to the wallet, no? Look for it online coming soon!

Elaine’s had some great WEARING THEN posts using some fabulous style pieces from Dynamite – check them out!

Canadian fashion brand Joe Fresh (most notable, the brand first introduced in Loblaws countrywide) is bringing it’s thrifty and fashionable products across the border!

American department store giant JC Penny is set to open over 700 Joe Fresh ‘store in stores’ across America, in an effort to reinvent the long-standing departmental chain. Success should be without surprise, as Joe Fresh currently has over 300 stores within Loblaws, as well as a smattering of stand-alone flag stores.

Will you shop Canadian favourite Joe Fresh when you’re across the border?

Again, Elaine’s had some cute WEARING THEN posts featuring Joe Fresh products!
