NYX Cosmetics SS 2017 Collection

I’m sure you are all excited about the warmer weather now becoming more regular! It’s the perfect time to experiment with more edgy makeup looks without frost biting at your cheeks and wind so cold your eyes water and ruin your look. I have been a long-time fan of NYX cosmetics as they are reasonably priced and perform well.

NYX Cosmetics  Soft Matte Lip Cream $9 CAD

NYX Cosmetics SS2017 // Toronto Beauty Reviews

  • Easy application
  • Intense pigment
  • Buttery smooth
  • Moisturizing

The lip creams are something I had yet to try and I was really curious about them. Once I applied the colour I realized they differ quite a bit from other liquid lipsticks, in the sense that they are very “buttery”. I love their texture! They are not shiny and deliver intense pigment for statement-making colour and plump moisture!

NYX Cosmetics Liquid Suede $10

NYX Cosmetics SS2017 // Toronto Beauty Reviews

  • Easy application
  • Very intense pigment (only one coat needed)
  • Unique colour options available!
  • Waterproof

I’ve tried the Liquid Suede products before and they really deliver bold, statement making colours.  Like other NYX products it is easy to apply and very reasonably priced so I often feel more inclined to take a risk and purchase something more edgy! Oh and I need to mention – these lippies are also waterproof!

NYX Cosmetics Rocker Chic Palette $21 CAD

NYX Cosmetics SS2017 // Toronto Beauty Reviews

  • Edgy and fun packaging
  • Extremely bold and highly pigmented colours

This series comes in three colour combinations. The one I have is called California Dreaming. This has got to be some of my favourite packaging with the faux leather and gold studded case! It is nearly something I want to leave lying around to accent my decor.

The colours are extremely bold and highly pigmented. California Dreaming in particular has some slightly more “out there” tones and are not something you would want to use for a more natural look, in which case I would suggest Heart of Gold instead from the same series. If you are looking for a pop of bold, eye catching colour this would be the perfect choice. Even some teal at the inner corners would suggest a subtle hint of rebel while not looking overdone.

Once again, NYX hasn’t failed me and is one of my all-time favourite drugstore brands.

Will you purchase any of these bold products  from NYX Cosmetics for your look this season?
