So World Mastercard Fashion week is just around the corner and it completely crept up on me! I’ll leave it to the fashionistas to let you know what to wear and how to present yourself but here are my secret weapons to making sure I’m up for all the backstage action!
I never know what I will be wearing to Fashion Week but if it’s nice out I’ll be taking advantage of a skirt so I’m really glad I’ve been getting hair free with my Tria Hair Removal Laser 4x. Since I’ve been using it I’ve had less and less need to shave my legs to I don’t need to worry if I’m dress/skirt ready!
My life has actually been super chaotic lately – but in a good way! Part of the consequences of leading a freelancer type life is lack of sleep, forgetting to drink water and therefore having dull looking skin. To calm it down over night I’ve been applying one of my favourite masks. The Eminence Clear Skin Probiotic Masque is so soothing as it contains yogurt, cucumber and tea tree oil. It also contains Kaolin Clay used to clean and soften the skin. It’s honestly been a miracle worker! I wake up and my skin is plump and so soft.
It’s important to make sure your nails are in tip top shape. I can never seem to get myself to a salon before Fashion Week as there is usually too much going on but I was introduced to the Fuse Gelnamel system and I think it will come in super handy when on the go! This at home gel polish is quick as it’s an all in one formula (base coat, colour + top coat) and the little LED lamp to cure the nails is EXTREMELY portable. Both can easily fit in your purse and you can plug it anywhere – even into your computer as it works with a USB port! I was even told it’s great on planes since the polish does not have a strong odor so you won’t disturb anyone around you.
Besides just fashion week events there are also other events going on too! I never know how late I’ll be home and the last thing I want to do is figure out what to do with my hair. So usually if you see me at fashion week I will forgo my curls for a sleeker style since I can go 3 (sometimes even 4!) days without washing it. I grab my Rowenta Versa Style to get the job done in the beginning of the week and I’m usually good to go!
