Old Navy Swimsuits

Posted on May 18, 2014May 17, 2014 by Elaine

I’m a big fan of Old Navy swimsuits. They are very cute, come in all different styles and are extremely affordable! This weekend in hopes that I’m named the Canadian Island Connoisseur to Tobago I went a little crazy shopping for swimsuits online! Even if I don’t win, I couldn’t pass up the prices and I’m sure I’ll put them to good use!

My favourite thing about Old Navy swimsuits is that all the tops and bottoms are sold separate so you can get the correct size (I’m personally a different size on top than I am on the bottom) plus mix and match the styles.

Here are some styles that caught my eye:

old-navy-swimsuit-string-bikini

You can’t really go wrong with a string bikini! I have and old one from Old Navy and I like that the top is adjustable and doesn’t leave you feeling TOO exposed. The string bikini also comes in a whole bunch of colours and patterns so you can definitely find one to suit your personality!

old-navy-swimsuit-bandeau

I love this bandeau top bikini with matching bottoms. I think the top is so flattering and I love all the pretty tropical prints this suit comes in! It definitely belongs on an exotic island don’t you think?

old-navy-swimsuit-tankini

I’m a big fan of tankinis too. They’re great when a more modest suit is required. For example, I’m not sure about you but I think wearing a string bikini at a kid’s pool party is a little strange, no? I also love tankini tops just to wear as tops when on vacation. They’re perfect b/c you don’t need to wear a bra underneath and if you’re sweating no one will be able to really tell 😉 And they look great paired with shorts or skirts.

old-navy-swimsuit-scoop-vneck

I’m not normally a huge fan of one pieces because of the huge bathroom inconvenience factor (I feel the same about rompers) but this gorgeous one piece really caught my eye. It’s sexy but in a very elegant and subtle way. How fabulous would this look paired with big sunglasses, a wide brimmed hat and a pretty sarong draped around the hips?!?  I’d feel like I was in an episode of Dynasty! (Did I just age myself?)

The swim suits are going FAST online since they are 50% off right now PLUS you get an extra 30% off your entire purchase this weekend! I believe they are only available online til June but I honestly think they won’t last that long. If you’d like to shop in store you’ll probably have better luck with style and size availability as I’m already seeing some styles sold out online.

What is your favourite swim suit style and have you shopped for swim wear at Old Navy before?

I like the one with the tropical print and the bandeau top. Support is an issue with a lot of bathing suit tops but it looks like it would actually be supportive. Yay for summer!

LOL I’m actually opposite…I don’t need any support 😛 in fact when a suit has “too much” support It looks funny on me…actually looks like I have nothing but stuffing going on hahaha! I received the bandeau top in my order and yeah…it didn’t suit me…but for ladies more blessed in the chest area I think it would be really cute! The string bikini tops were winners for me though! 😉
