TESTING, TESTING + GIVEAWAY: Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy {CLOSED}

Posted on February 19, 2013November 15, 2015 by Elaine

Recently I  was asked to participate in a hair challenge using Clear Scalp and Hair Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner.

I’m always up for a challenge especially when the promise is healthier hair!
We often don’t pay much attention to our scalps. Our hair, yes but until we have issues with our scalp it pretty much gets neglected. Hair’s strength and beauty actually relies on a healthy scalp so it’s important to use a shampoo and conditioner which targets the scalp as well as the hair.
But what good is a product for the scalp if we don’t see results right? First off, it would help to let you know the condition of my hair. It’s quite dry. This comes with the territory of curly hair but I’ve been told by many a hair dresser that my hair is extremely dry even for curly hair. That would probably explain the forever frizzy look I usually have going on! To help reduce the dryness I’ve been trying to not wash my hair as often which has helped a bit but not as much as I would have liked.
That’s why taking this challenge came at a great time! I was sent over the Volumizing Root Boost line.

I don’t have an issue with volume but as my hair is growing out my curls can get weighed down.

The challenge is supposed to take 7 days but I took a bit longer as I wasn’t washing my hair everyday!

After maybe 4 – 5 washes I noticed that I didn’t lose as much hair in the shower! I wasn’t really expecting this. I know it’s normal to lose hair and it’s more annoying than anything but I know there are women out there concerned especially if they have thin hair.

I continued my routine styling routine and at the end of the challenge I have to say I noticed significant improvement in the frizziness of my hair!

Here’s what my hair can typically look like. Might be hard to see but overall friziness and the curls aren’t well defined.

Here is my hair a few days ago as I was ending the challenge. (sorry weird selfie at work!) You can see the curls are more defined and my frizz halo isn’t there. I actually think it looked better in real life than in the pictures, but I generally feel that way about curly hair.

And at the end of day. Still a bit of frizz but definitely improved!
