I love learning more about the beautiful faces we all look to for inspiration. Liisa Winkler is a 32 year old Toronto native. Here are few excerpts from the interview in Glow Magazine:
On returning to the modelling world after motherhood:“I have a different perspective on it now. I can see myself in younger models when I work with them; I can see how it was and how it’s now so much better. [Modelling] is almost like a pastime. It’s something I really enjoy doing now.”
On finding her modelling voice in her 30s: “I can talk to people that are my age… You’re not going to be working with people who are 10 years older than you who expect something of you that you don’t quite understand…and I can add to it, too. I feel like I have more of a voice.”
On supporting animal welfare, environmental issues, and the David Suzuki Foundation:“Those things I feel completely passionate about…I’ve always been into the environment and supported things like the David Suzuki Foundation…And then my kids: I’m feeding them stuff and I don’t know [what’s in it], so I want to find out. I think most parents probably feel like that these days.”
On her future plans for modelling:“I feel like everything is an opportunity and it’s there for a reason… so if it keeps happening, I’ll keep doing it… I have what I really love. So everything else is just icing. I feel like I couldn’t be happier right now.”
