If there is any ONE product you MUST stock up on this summer it’s sunscreen! While sunscreen and sun protection is important all year round it’s super important to protect yourself especially at this time of year while the sun is at full force and we’re spending more time outdoors. Here are a few brands of sunscreen to protect you and the whole family!
If you’ve got kids one of my favourite suncreens for the little ones is the Avon Sun+ Kids Disappearing Potion Sunscreen Lotion. I love it because it’s fun for kids to apply – it starts off as a turquoise coloured lotion then disappears as it blends into the skin. It’s great because you can see exactly where you are putting it so you won’t miss any spots and kids seem to enjoy watching it disappear like “magic”!
If you are someone that’s active this Ombrelle Clear Sport Gel SPF 30 is for you since it dries clear and quickly. It’s waterproof and will protect you while you’re on the go!
If you’re looking for a mineral formula you may want to check out the Kiss My Face All Natural Spray Mineral Spray Lotion SPF 30. Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide minerals help reflect UV rays to keep you protected. This formula is also gluten free and vegan friendly!
For a suncreen with a high sun protection factor and one that is lightweight and oil free try out this one from Coppertone. It’s fragrance free which makes it great for everyday use and it also resists water and sweat for up to 80 minutes so you can enjoy the sun (and water) safely.
For ultra lightweight sun protection for the face check out the L’Oreal Paris Silky Sheer Face Lotion SPF 50 which is perfect to wear on its own or under makeup. It’s also available in a tinted BB cream version to help even out your skin tone.
I’ve been personally using this new Vichy Capital Soleil Invisible Mist SPF 30 on the daily. It goes on easily and quickly and dries fast but doesn’t contain any alcohol. It does double duty to keep skin hydrated so I don’t have to layer on another moisturizer if I’m in a hurry to head out the door.
Another sun protection product I’ve just discovered is this L’Oreal Paris Sublime Sun Silky Sheer Mousse SPF 30. Yes you read that correctly – a mousse! This light mousse is so easy to apply and absorbs so quickly into the skin. This is a great no mess sunscreen option!
