Over the weekend the lovely folks of Buytopia via Charming Media treated me to a lovely blow out and makeup application at Do My Hair Salon located near Mount Pleasant and Eglinton
. 
I arrived a little early for my appointment and noted there was a limo outside and a bridal party inside – I didn’t want to intrude so I went to a Second Cup to grab a tea and wait for a little while. As I chatted with the owner of the salon I learned that for weddings the salon is completely closed to other appointments so you can get ready with your bridal party in private. Great idea!
The space is comfortable and modern and with the exception of a little wear and tear the place is really clean which is important for a place where you’re planning on getting “beautified”!
I forgot to take a before picture but here I am in the process of a blow out.
VERY attractive LOL!! Amanda who was in charge of me for my time there let me know that Do My Hair uses Onesta, Moroccan Oil and Pureology lines exclusively. Also, I didn’t get a manicure done but the salon offers express manicures while you’re getting your hair blown out. I thought this was a great idea and time saver making this place truly a one stop shop for getting ready for a big night out!

Ahhh I love it! My hair felt so bouncy I just wanted to “whip my hair back and forth” all day LOL!
I was not done being pampered yet, on to makeup! FACE Atelier is the brand of choice at Do My Hair. I know a lot of my makeup artist friends use this brand in their kit so I was comfortable using this line. There are silicones in these products however so if you’re sensitive you may want to be cautious. Contact Do My Hair if you’re concerned before you go in for a visit.

There is a great deal going on right now on for Do My Hair on Buytopia. $17 for a blow out or $35 for a blow out + makeup application! I think this is the perfect place to get ready for a Valentine’s night out – or really any special night out!
Plus – the blow out lasts forever – I’m on day four right now and my hair is still looking great! So if you ask me – as someone that sucks at doing her hair this is an amazing value.
