I’m going to take our readers a little bit outside of the GTA for this post – specifically, closer to my neck of the woods in Milton! For those readers not familiar with the GTA area, Milton is a suburb about 30 minutes outside of Toronto. I was invited there for such an amazing occasion – Milton’s Maripoza’s Hair Salon’s 1 year anniversary party!
Maripoza Salon is a cute little salon, located off of Bronte Street in Milton. Personally, I know a lot of hard work, passion and dedication went into the inner workings of this salon because I know the owners. Frequent Toronto Beauty Reviews photographer Alessandra Travali’s family is part owner of the salon!
The salon is co-run by Mary and Agnes – friends and co-workers for years who couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work together in their own establishment. I think the salon works so well because of the partnership and trust between Mary and Angus. See the picture below? They almost look like sisters!

The 1 year anniversary event was open to the public, friends, family and their customers. Mary and Agnes wanted to show their appreciation to all the people who helped them over the first year hurdle, and rocketed the salon to the success its achieved. Just look at that cake, doesn’t it look delish?
A full service hair salon, Maripoza also offers spa services to their customers that include Facials, Facial Treatments, Full Body Treatments, and Massages. Spa services have their own room as well, as privacy and comfort are some of their number one priorities.
Here are some overview pictures of the salon – I wanted our readers to see the inside, because it’s such a wonderful area for a salon.
The reception area is adorned with a beautiful butterfly picture. Fitting, since Maripoza means ‘butterfly’ in Italian!
