Not too long ago we had a small family gathering for my cousin’s baptism. Sometimes it’s nice to be a little dressed up but you also want to be comfortable – especially with our family gatherings – they can often last the whole day LOL!
There’s something about navy, cream and burgundy that I just can’t get enough of. I’ve been wearing this Dara Dot Designs scarf all the time! (It’s actually more of a wine colour than burgundy. There’s a burgundy style in her new collection).

Thanks Elle! Yeah I wouldn’t have thought about the colour combo off the top of my head either but as I was dressing I knew I wanted to wear a scarf to keep the chill of the a/c away and I grabbed this one then remembered I had burgundy tights too!
I like the colors you are wearing here…if I tried to imagine the colors together without looking at your picture, I would think they are too busy but you made it work!
As for family events…it depends on if the event includes relatives, immediate family, or a combination of both. I tend to dress to blend in when I attend large family gatherings…:)
