Review: The smell is absolutely divine. The smell of roses is not so overpowering that it’s too sickly sweet – the aroma is faint and gorgeous. I’ve kept both bottles in my powder room since I’ve received them, and I use them consecutively. The hand lotion is the same – the smell is not too overpowering, but it’s clean and consistent with the ‘English Garden’ promise.
The lotion is a perfect compliment to the hand soap – I wouldn’t separate the two. If you use the lotion after the hand soap, I found it to be pretty moisturizing. Would I use this as a stand-alone moisturizer? Probably not, but then again, it’s not marketed as one. Also, I found the bottle of lotion had to be shaken a couple times to ensure the lotion properly dispensed. The hand soap (which I adore) is just as moisturizing – leaving your hands clean and sweet smelling.
I’d like to take a moment and mention the packaging. Most soap dispensers are so clinical and boring. This dispenser is adored with beautiful rose art and is a lovely shade of pink. Gorgeous!
Verdict: Wonderful for your powder room, and at the price, totally worth it!
