As I’m slowly getting to know more and more LUSH products I was excited to see the launch of their Emotional Brilliance colour line.
The ones that intrigued me the most were the face products and also the mascara!
Oops blurry picture sorry!
I have yet to try the mascara out – I just started wearing eye makeup again after my eye surgery so I have a few mascaras to try out now! I’ll keep you posted if I love it
Here is the Charisma skin tint. It’s a nice bronzy liquid.
And here’s the Feeling Younger skin tint – light reflecting and meant to be used to highlight.
During the launch I was also whisked away into a “secret” room where I was asked to spin a kind of colour wheel and pick three colours that appealed to me. Here are the colours I drew:
The marketing behind this line is that each colour represents some kind of emotion or emotional connection for us. I’d have to say that’s true – bright colours often make you feel energized and happy while subdued, soft colours make you feel calm and relaxed.
The first colour I drew was a bright fuchsia pink – the emotion connected to this colour was “passionate”. According to the “colour reader” the first colour I picked was something that was really strong within me at the moment. The second colour “perspective” was meant to represent something inside of me wanting to reveal itself and the last colour “calm” was meant to represent an attribute I already possessed that would help me to achieve my second choice.
Or so I was told anyway LOL! If you want to try your hand at the “colour wheel” I believe they are in stores but you can also play online.
Swatches of “passionate”, “perspective”, “calm”, “Charisma skin tint” and “Feeling Younger skin tint”. The translucent powder looked pretty much what you’d expect from translucent powder
There’s a whole range of colours from the Emotional Brilliance line that you can check out. It’s also interesting to hear the inventors talk about the colours!
I read Tracy’s review of this line over at her blog Beauty Reflections – she has a really interesting and refreshing take on these products
Will you be checking this line out?
***Disclosure: products were received during the launch of this line for review consideration***
I’m curious to try it out. I do like to experiment so I’ll buy it if I can find it on eBay.

I haven’t actually tried them out on my face yet LOL! I know – I’m really a sad beauty blogger
I’ve been wearing minimal makeup – mostly mineral makeup as my skin has been so sensitive lately! Also I’ve had really busy weekends lately so haven’t had as much time to play and experiment – sigh!
Let me know what you think of them!
ooh yay your comment is showing up – I left a comment on your blog already LOL!
Thanks for the link Elaine!
The highlighter and bronzer and powder do look interesting though! How are they? Any good?
Thanks for the review! I am really interested in LUSH cosmetics now so I’ll try them for sure now!
I have some reviews of this line on my blog if you want to check them out- what did you think of the products?
