A couple weeks ago I was lucky enough to attend Guess and Flare Magazine’s exclusive, invite-only, joint 30th Anniversary event. Held in their Queen street location, both Guess and Flare pulled out all the stops on this one – two complete storeys of attendees, music, food, wine, media and great clothes.

Seeing as this was my first time at one of these events, I really didn’t know what to expect. Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted with our choice of wine, mixed cocktails, or water. A sampling of desserts was passed around to the guests. The Guess store itself was fully stocked, with the 30th Anniversary campaign fashion highlighted on the Guess personnel, the shelves, and the models on hand.

Upstairs offered guests the opportunity to make their own ‘flip-book’. Guests were encouraged to vamp-it-up with crazy hats, boas, masques, and Guess paraphernalia in order to create their own mini-flip book. Guests were also given the opportunity to ‘choose’ their own gift – by picking out their own mystery box filled with various Guess related gifts. My gift box contained a $30 gift card – thanks Guess!

Shopping was encouraged during this event – with all the models donning their signature 30th anniversary line, it was definitely hard to resist! Take a look at their jewelry selection below. All a little tempting, isn’t it?

Guess made sure to showcase their 30th anniversary collection, front and centre. Almost the whole back half of the store was dedicated to this collection. Big in this collection were prints – printed pants came in all different patterns: floral, leopard, striped and plaid. You can see in the picture below their skinny leg jeans – these specific jeans were highlighted throughout their collection. There was a pattern available for all tastes! And see the dress at the end? That was the dress I actually wore to the event!

All shoppers were treated to their own ‘gift bag’ complete with Guess and Flare items. Nail polish, Guess headphones, gift certificates and make-up were contained in every bag – thanks again, Guess!
