Amour De Soi: Celebrating Self-Love and Soothing with Holistic Vanity Rosacea Care

Posted on January 27, 2012 by Elaine

It should be no secret that I’m a big fan of Pure+Simple spas and products based right here in Toronto. One of the co-founders Kristen Ma is launching her new skincare line “Holistic Vanity Rosacea Care” and you’re invited!

DATE:  Wednesday February 8th, 2012
TIME: 5:30 – 9:00 pm
VENUE: Bata Shoe Museum (327 Bloor Street West, Toronto)
RSVP by February 1st here.

I’m so excited to be attending this event, as soon as I saw the invite in my inbox I RSVP’d!  The programme includes anti-inflammatory hors d’oeuvres and product sampling, a talk by Kristen “Stop Seeing Red: How to heal rosacea and sensitive skin holistically” followed by Q&A and then the celebration of the launch of the new skin care line! The Bata Shoe Museum is also open to all attendees, which I’m super excited about.  It’s so sad that I spent years in University pretty much living across the street from the Bata Shoe Musem and have yet to step foot in it!

I’m not familiar with Rosacea myself but as I’m getting older my skin is more sensitive and I recently developed dermatitis which I have read some people believe is a form of rosacea so I’m really looking forward to learning more.
Rosacea is an inflammatory skin disorder affecting 16 million Americans.  16 million!!!! In response to this overwhelmingly common disorder Kristen decided to develop a skincare line targeted this specific condition.  She has plans to expand with treatment lines for acne care, anti-aging care, and damage care.  I already love Pure+Simple products and their philosophy, I can’t wait for Kristen’s new products to hit the market!
Holistic Vanity Rosacea Care will be available at Pure+Simple stores in February 2012.
Be sure to catch up with Kristen on her blog Holistic Vanity and tweet with her on twitter.

Callandra, I wish you lived near me too, I think we’d have so much fun hanging out 😉 I will definitely try to report back as much as I can. I would really recommend the book by Kristen Ma, Pure and Simple. There is a US version with a slightly different title!

That sounds so amazing Elaine! Sure wish I lived close enough to come to this event. My skin is so dry and sensitive, I would love to learn more about how I could care for it.
