It’s Cold out there but Toronto will be hot with Nuit Blanche

Wow it’s cold out there today!  Single digit temperatures for us in Toronto definitely makes you want to stay indoors.  But, kicking off tonight is a really cool annual event in Toronto called Nuit Blanche.

For one sleepless night experience the city transformed by hundreds of artists for Toronto’s sixth annual sunset-to-sunrise celebration of contemporary art.
Discover art in galleries, museums and unexpected places. From a streetcar, alleyways and storefronts to churches, ponds and parks, choose from more than 130 destinations and chart your own path.
One night only. All night long.

Starting tonight, October 1st at 6:59pm to sunrise the city of Toronto will be turned into an outdoor art gallery.  I’ve actually never participated in Nuit Blanche but this year I’ll be attending an indoor event (I need to start off slow!!!)  – Art of Fashion’s 13th annual design competition and designer boutique “Choreology” held at the Pantages Hotel.

I don’t pretend to know much about Fashion but I’m looking forward to checking out the amazing talent from the Art of Fashion 2011 Design Competition Finalists:

There will also be a red carpet photo contest and a chance to be the next face of America’s Next Top Model Live – so all you beautiful ladies with modelling aspirations get your gorgeous selves out tonight!


I’m also excited for the chance to shop Canadian featuring over 25 Canadian-made fashion and accessories brands including my friend Dara of Dara Dot Designs.
