I don’t have many of those anymore 😛 Weekends these days are filled with little errands here and there, visiting family, star stalking (did you see my video of Jennifer Garner on facebook?!? If not click here!) etc.
My idea weekend would be to just trek downtown, see what we can see – there’s ALWAYS something going on in Toronto! Maybe browse the stores, try a new restaurant and catch a movie!
One weekend the husband and I were able to do just that. It was a nice sunny day out in Toronto so perfect for strolling!
I even got him to shoot a couple pictures for me 🙂

This blouse was my other surprise and lovely find from Vero Moda. I can’t seem to find this blouse online which is strange because I saw it last week in the Vero Moda section of The Bay, a Canadian Department Store. But I picked this up at the Vero Moda store at the Bramalea City Centre (ha, I KNOW!! GTA folks I’m sure will be equally surprised)
My version of the “top bun”
Since my hair is curly and has so many layers in it a true top bun is hard for me to achieve. On top of that, when I put my hair up it NEVER looks the same way twice! I pretty much just gathered the hair into a pony tail without pulling the “tail” part all the way through and bobby pinned all the stray ends into place.
I love my turban headband, I never thought it would suit me, but I love how it looks casual but put together AND keeps my frizzies out of site 😛

It’s so true, that’s the one thing I had to get used to living close to the city, paying for parking! Luckily my husband’s work pays for his parking and we can sometimes get free parking on the weekends too! And yeah I hate the TTC!

my typical weekend is running around doing errands and going out with my family (mainly so kayla can have fun) so weekends are pretty busy too but i love it.

Hi Elaine, it’s great that you and your husband got to enjoy the city. Toronto is so awesome, there’s always so much to see and do here. My typical weekends are filled with tons of kids stuff and very few adult stuff. The ideal weekend for me is to go to a spa (I can dream, right?). Your outfit is great, I especially love that Rebecca Minkoff clutch and the Avon ring. You have great taste 🙂
That clutch is beautiful! My weekends are always different it can range from playing sport to catching up with friends to doing nothing. That’s why I love weekends!

Lovely outfit and hair, Elaine! As for me, a typical weekend in the summer usually means jersey dresses/sun dresses and sandals. As the weather is getting colder now, I’m more leaning to jeans and sweaters with knee high boots (standard weekend outfit in the fall/winter).
Great outfit, love the top and your hairband! We were talking about turban-style hair accessories in last night’s class – apparently it’s very ‘on-trend’ for this season!!
