This outfit was made possible through blogging!

Posted on June 9, 2011 by Elaine

You’ve read over and over again about how the positive aspects of blogging and the blogging community.  I have been really lucky to not have had any negative experiences since I’ve started blogging (and hopefully I won’t ever have to!) and once again I owe it to blogging for making this outfit possible.

The key elements of this outfit were made possible due to the friendships I’ve made blogging!

Blazer: LOFT size 0P
Shirt: LOFT size XSP (as seen in this post with links to other bloggers)
Necklace: made by Sew Petite Gal (etsy store here)

Buttoned up:

The GORGEOUS necklace!

I didn’t have a chance to do a post separately on the necklaces but I bought them from Sew Petite Gal who is SUPER talented and makes the most beautiful jewellery AND many of her own clothes!  I LOVE pretty packaging almost as much as I love pretty items themselves and I absolutely loved how SPG sent her necklaces to me.

I customized two necklaces – the other one will be PERFECT for Fall but I’m sure I’ll find an excuse to wear it sooner than that!

So a HUGE thank you to my blogger friends whom I was able to purchase the items in this outfit from:
LOFT Blazer purchased from Kelly of Alterations Needed
LOFT Flutter Sleeved Top purchased from Vicky of Vicky’s Daily Fashion Blog
Necklace handmade and purchased from Sew Petite Gal (see her etsy shop!)

You know, I just realized today that for some reason since you merged your blogs, I didn’t have this new one in my reader. ACK! How many posts have I missed?! I feel awful!!!

So anyway. You look beautiful! The color of that top is beautiful on you, I love the necklace and that blazer is fantastic. You’re gorgeous! And I’m so glad I figured out the issue so I can subscribe to you again!!!

Thank goodness for blog friends? 🙂 hehe I love all the pieces you wore in this post…I too have scored some goodies from petite blogger friends but have yet to pull together a look based on those items alone. I may have to draw inspiration from you. 😀

That’s a great blazer because it has a bit of detailing which makes it a bit more feminine and not so androg. I love it! Those necklaces are pretty too. The pearl beads and the ribbon are gorgeous together!

You didn’t make it to the LOFT regular store, Elaine? I guess your US friends will just have to continue shopping for you : ) And oh those necklaces are lovely, but even more special as they were handmade with love and custom designed for you by SPG. She is so crafty!

    Lovely outfit!

Your Sew Petite Gal necklace is so pretty and unique. I like that you’re able to customize the necklaces; I will be checking out the etsy store once my shopping ban is over.

Is it strange that when I think of blazers with jeans, I naturally think of Kelly from Alterations Needed? ;D
