Avon Moisture Seduction Lipstick Review – Part 1

Posted on March 8, 2011March 30, 2020 by Elaine

I have been working on this review for over a week if you can believe it.  I unfortunately am not very good at keeping up with the reviews, my sincere apologies!

This review will be broken up into 2 parts since there are 10 colours in the Moisture Seduction Lipstick Collection. Here is the US link.

From the Avon Canada website:
Our most moisture-infused lipstick…for the lushest color you’ve ever known! Up to 500% moisture boost. 1000% full-on sexy lips. Ribbons of rich moisturizers intertwine with seductively smooth color for a sensuous surge of deep hydration.

Here are some pictures I took:

^Maraschino^
(oops used that one before I took the picture 😛 )

Here are the swatches

Swatches
Maraschino//Plum Gorgeous//Tangerine
Bronze//Perfect Pink
The Maraschino is the most pigmented of all the lipsticks.   Next was Plum Gorgeous – it was a bit more sheer but definitely left good colour on my lips.  The other colours were significantly more sheer and had slight shimmer in them.
Now, here are some pictures of the Lipsticks on me:
Bronze:

Perfect Pink:

Plum Gorgeous:

Maraschino:

I tried the Tangerine on but it really looked terrible on me and I couldn’t get a very good shot as it was too light for me.  My favorite colours were the Plum Gorgeous and the Maraschino but the Perfect Pink was really pretty too.  I hated the Bronze and the Tangerine on me.

I really like this lipstick.  It definitely is moisturizing.  I usually have to apply lip balm all throughout the day but I found my lips only needing moisture after eating and wiping my mouth.  This lipstick really DOES leave my lips chap free!  And I seriously LOVE the pretty “moisture ribbons” that swirl throughout each lipstick bullet.

The colour even lasted pretty much the whole day!!  I only had to touch up just slightly after eating.  There is definitely transfer to my cup and napkin as I’m eating and drinking but my lips still retained most of the original colour of the lipstick.  And a bonus it contains SPF 15 so your lips stay protected from the sun too!

These lipsticks are winners in my books!  I will review the next 5 colours in the line in a later post.

I love the Perfect Pink on you actually 🙂 It’s lighter, perfect for summer

Hanna, I too have a thing for orange/coral based anything actually, but I think on my skin it doesn’t look too good.

I’ll have to keep them in mind next time if I’m looking for a good lipstick and with SPF to boot! 🙂

@Banhannas I’ll try to get a good picture of the tangerine just for you 😉

I would have still loved to see tangerine on ya! I’m a huge fan or orange/coral based lipsticks even though technically they are tricky to work with.
Lipstick that has moisturizer plus SPF? That’s really nice. =0D I like Plum Gorgeous the best!
