A basic cold day outfit

Posted on February 17, 2011December 21, 2014 by Elaine

(NOTE: This post will be COMPLETELY different from my last post 😉 My last post was so bright and cheerful – this outfit is more a true reflection of what I’ve been wearing.)

So I have been keeping up with some of resolutions and taking pictures more frequently.  I never promised to blog more frequently thought 😛

At this rate I will be posting all my Winter wear photos in the Spring!

Here is a really basic outfit but it was so comfortable and cozy for me to wear.

Sweater:  Esprit XS
Jeans: Beloved Gap Jean Leggings 00R (here in black wash)
Boots:  Miz Mooz Gayle
Jewellery:  Avon
So, yup, black and grey! That’s typical me!  But…here’s where the REALLY cozy part comes in:
Infinity Scarf – bought years ago as a regular scarf and made into an infinity scarf by my friend!
^I love how I can completely hide in the scarf 😉 ^
Avon earrings from last year I believe they were $4.99!
One of my favorite current Avon pieces.  I ALWAYS get stopped so people can get a closer look 😉
A total bargain for $9.99!
So while I managed to trick you all into thinking I’m a “colourful” girl with the previous outfit this is the real me LOL – I do hope to break out of my comfort zone more often.  Perhaps with Spring almost here that might happen 🙂

Hey, it’s OK if we’re not all colors of the rainbow all the time. Wearing black and grey does not automatcially make an outfit boring – I think the fit on you and the pieces are great. Those boots in partcular are killer!

Blacks and greys all always the best, when it comes down to it for me too. Plus, it probably made that gorgeous colorful necklace pendant stand out. That is such a steal! I can’t stop looking at it, hehe!

You look lovely and it’s totally ok to not wear color!

Lately,I’ve been moving more towards dark colors and blacks too. For a long time, I would avoid black, but I’m beginning to embrace it again…just not in a goth type of way. =)

Ha! I wear black and grey all of the time. And brown. But I like it think that once spring is here, that will all change. I am so jealous of your infinity scarf, I want one really bad but I haven’t found one that I like. I’ll keep searching though. Have a great weekend!

I am all about black, gray and other monotonous colors too in the winter except you wear it much better than I do. I like the pop of color your scarf lends the outfit. 🙂 And ooo….pretty necklace! (I am drawn to sparkly things 🙂 )

Now see, you and I are opposites. I wear a lot of color most of the time because I feel like I can’t pull off an all black and gray outfit. You, on the other hand, look so incredibly chic and stylish! I love those boots and that sweater is so flattering on you.

Celebrating our best boy’s birthday with a custom Celebrating our best boy’s birthday with a custom sensitive-tummy-approved cake from @jujulet! Cause life’s too short not to mark special occasions 🐶❤️🎂

I can’t believe @guster_dog is already 6! 😭❤️❤️

The cake is made of pumpkin, sweet potato, spinach, and carrot. The “frosting” is potato cream mixed with natural colorings. Gluten-free and lactose-free with lots of healthy veggies means Guster can enjoy his special treat and we don’t have to worry about his health. 🥳

The cake is truly a work of art, and - as you can see - Guster definitely approves of the taste! He ate the sculpture of himself so fast that we didn’t even catch it on camera! 🙈

Would you get a cake for your pet?

Hi! 👋🏼 I’m still here! I’m sorry I haven’t posted Hi! 👋🏼 I’m still here! I’m sorry I haven’t posted much. I’m finding it a bit hard, tbh. 🫤

I’m figuring out what the next phase of #TorontoBeautyReviews looks like and healing from an injury, while my 9-5 has lately been more like 7-7, so I’m filling my off hours with family, dance, food, and books. Finding joy and peace where I can in an intense world. ❤️

I still try out lots of products and I do occasionally paint my face 🙃. I’m just not as interested in the grind of daily posts just for the sake of staying relevant anymore. Which has meant that I’m not on as many PR lists as I used to be. Which means that I don’t have as much new stuff to review. It’s a cycle.

Things are shifting, which is tough sometimes. But it’s ok - so am I. 😊
