Another item I received from the Blush Pretty Beauty Board Event was the Vasanti Tinted Lip Balm in Bahamas.
This tinted lip balm provides sheer colour and lip conditioner all in one! I love how it just glides on to my lips and it’s great for those days when I’m feeling “minimalistic” and just want a hint of colour on my lips.
The top swatch is one swipe of the tinted lip balm. The bottom swatch is about three. You can see how the colour is really sheer but buildable.
I also purchased the Liquid Cover Up in shade V2.
I love how this feels on my skin. It’s very light and doesn’t feel like I have anything on but at the same time it helps to cover up my sun spots making them less visible. Light but effective coverage and it’s oil free!
The only thing I wasn’t too keen about was the application brush. I guess it wasn’t really the brush I had issues with but the stray hairs on the brush:
The first time I opened the tube there was one stray brush hair. As I continued to use the product two more became stray despite my best efforts to close the product carefully.
This didn’t affect the application at all, just something that drove me crazy every time I used it. (Edited to add – the kind people of Vasanti saw my post and replaced this product for me! The new product did not have the same brush issues).
A quick swatch of the liquid cover up unblended.
Here is the cover up slightly blended (the inside of my wrist is lighter than my face! This colour suited me perfectly).
I really liked these two products and I’m looking forward to trying more from Vasanti – the matte lipsticks are peaking my interest and I’ve heard amazing things about the Eye Wonder!
I love that this line was founded by three Canadian women and that the products are made in Canada.
Has anyone else tried out products from Vasanti?
@Liz ooh yeah I HATE that greasy feeling! and Oh yeah, thanks for the help on the FB thing
@Elaine A No Problem! Don’t get me wrong, Mac Studio Fix Powder had great coverage as well but by the end of the night I would be dying to wash my face. The greasy feeling after a few hours was unbearable. It felt gross. I don’t get that feeling with Vasanti which I LOVE. I have dark skin so my discolouration is very dark purple. I can’t get enough lol I wish everyone knew about Vasanti’s products.
Thanks for the follow on twitter as well!
I’m @PurpleBBerry. I look fwd to reading your reviews.
@Liz Thanks for the comment Liz! I haven’t tried the face base but wow enough coverage for acne scars and discolouration – that’s exactly what I need! I think I will have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation
I’ve recently started using Vasanti’s Tinted Lip Balm and the Face Base Powder.
I love both of these products. The lip balm is light, moisturizing and provides the right amount of colour. I also love how it smells. It has a tropical hint to it.
I used MAC Studio Fix powder but since I started using the Vasanti Face Base I haven’t used it since. The Vasanti powder feels so light on my skin, blends in perfectly and provides enough coverage for my acne scars/discolouration. I love how I almost forget that I am wearing anything on my skin, even after a touch up in the evening.
@Canadianpetite
I know they are available at Rexall and Shopper’s Drug Marts here, if you go to the website, click “stores” and enter in your postal code you should hopefully be able to locate a store

I live in Vancouver. What store can you find Vasanti?
Vasanti was founded by 2 sisters (and one of their friends, i believe) from Toronto, one of whom i have the pleasure of knowing. They are fantastic, beautiful strong women and i’m so glad they are doing well with Vasanti! thanks for the review Elaine
