Loft Wool Pants on me!

Posted on February 3, 2011 by Elaine

Ahhh the famous Loft Wool Pants!  See them on other petites in this Alterations Needed Forum post.  Kelly of Alterations Needed had a size 0P up for sale on the forum so I quickly nabbed them up.  I was a little worried that they wouldn’t fit as LOFT bottoms tend to fit tight on me but I like the way they fit.  They DEFINITELY do not look like they do on many of the other petites LOL – I am definitely bigger than some of the other ladies that have these pants. They definitely fit tighter than I envisioned, but I love them all the same.

Loft Pants:  size 0P (buy here)
Cardigan:  H&M XS
Top:  Mexx XS

I love the charcoal colour of these pants – they go with everything in my wardrobe 😉

You can definitely see they have a more fitted look on me and they are shorter on me as well.  I’m not sure I could roll the cuffs up anymore as they are quite tight around my calves. I can wear them tucked into boots too; they don’t bunch up at all.

These pants came just on time!  I have NO dress pants right now – a few I have to get hemmed and a couple are in “repair” mode right now.  Luckily I can wear jeans to work everyday of the week but these pants are great as it’s been too icky out to wear a skirt or dress.
As some of you may be aware anything wool makes me itch like crazy.  I was worried about these pants but I thought since they were lined most of the way I’d be ok.  Turns out I was wrong – I can feel the wool through the lining!!!! I am wearing leggings underneath so problem solved. Most days of the Fall and Winter I wear stockings or leggings under all my pants.  I am always cold so for me this is a necessity. The texture of these pants likely won’t work in the Spring and Summer so I won’t have to worry about the itchiness then.
Did anyone else grab these pants?

Those pants are AMAZING on you! That’s too bad the itchiness is so bad, but I’m glad you’re able to wear them with leggings ^_^.

LOFT had a lot of nice sweaters this past winter, but the wool just made me want to itch badly. So I couldn’t really buy most of their wool based (or rabbit fur) things as nice as some things were.

    @StilettoTwins

I would say the itchiness is NOT bearable for me but with leggings underneath I don’t feel a thing!

Those look great on you! I’ll have to try some of LOFT’s pants. They seem to fit really well.

lol it’s like my itchy wool coat I just reviewed where I could feel the itchiness through the lining! These hugging trousers look great on you, they give that classy cigarette pant-style. It sounds super warm and perfect for your Canadian winters, with the wool, lining, and tights underneath.

I think these pants look super cute cuffed the way you’re wearing them. Hiding them under boots would be a shame! Don’t change a thing about this outfit, you look great!

I love the look of these on you!

That is a bummer that the wool still irritated you, but smart thinking! 🙂

I really like these on you even though they look somewhat different on Kelly. LOFT pants fit really tight on me in the legs (I think I need like a 2p or 4p or something because my legs are bigger than yours but the waist is all wrong. sigh). Too bad about the itchiness…they look so cute on you though! I love the color! 🙂

They fit you well! I tried them on, but I am just too curvy to make them work haha..they looked ridiculous on me! Such a shame, cause I have loved them on all the other petite bloggers I have seen them on!

I hate it when clothes feel itchy! Leggings underneath is a terrific solution though and probably make the pants more fitted on you and keep you warmer in this harsh harsh winter. I hope to try these pants out too – now that I’m done with my jeans search!

Uh oh…I am the same way but these pants were okay for me- not too itchy:)

I think they look look great fitted on you! I fried mine in the dryer 3 times so it’s slowly getting smaller…LOL

Oh no…I’m sorry to hear about the itch and discomfort! But WOW they look so different on you. If they fit like that on me the would’ve been keepers for sure. Now I hope to find pants like that…charcoal, tweed-y skinny trousers with a cuff!

These pants look really nice on you. I got the same ones last month but haven’t worn them yet. I also had to sized them up. I am glad they fit you great.

Wool pants drive me crazy too!!

I really like the pants! The colour is great! I used to have a pair of wool pants from Jacob in the same colour, but I outgrew them now.

I’m heading down to Boston for Family Day Weekend…I wonder if I will still be able to find a pair!

these pants are lovely on you and i really like how they hit just above the ankle. it’s too bad about the itchiness, but hopefully leggings will solve that problem. what a great buy off the AN Forum!

I love them!! I think they fit you really well – I wish mine were a bit smaller. Maybe I needed a 0 instead of 2 🙁

Good thinking with the tights underneath – can’t hurt in winter time!

Oh poor you… it must be tough to have such sensitive skin! They definitely look much different than what I’m used to seeing on other petites, but they look like they actually “fit” you! I agree that it’s a very versatile color.

OMG, I can’t believe you can still feel the wool through the lining! You must be super sensitive! They fit you so different than they fit me! It’s great! They’re like tweed skinny jeans! =)
