My new favorite Cardigan and an award!

Posted on December 14, 2010December 21, 2014 by Elaine

I’m glad a lot of you enjoyed my Seven Confessions post.  It was fun to read all your comments and how much I have in common with some of you :P.   I was thinking about confession #5:

5. I get obsessed with songs.  I’m the type of person that can listen to a song over and over and over again.  I will look up the lyrics to the song of the moment so I can sing to the the song on repeat.  This is obviously one of the reasons why my husband love me 😛

And I realized that I not only obsess with songs, but with articles of clothing too!   When I buy something new and absolutely LOVE it, it becomes part of my “uniform” and I wear it every chance I get!!!!   My current go to uniform consists of my Gap mustard cardigan reviewed here.
Here’s my most recent outfit with this item:
Top:  Jacob XS
Cardigan:  Gap XS
Jeans:  Banana Republic 0P
Necklace:  mark by Avon

Detailed shots of my necklace:

And…I undeservedly received the “Stylish Blogger Award” from one of the sweetest ladies I’ve “met” in the blogging community – Marilou of Twenty York Street!  When I think of chic and stylish I automatically think of her!   She is so personable not to mention photogenic!   The definition of class.   She’s always so sweet, she’ll sometimes drop me an email just to say ‘hi’! 🙂

So thank you Marilou from the bottom of my heart!  I don’t feel I have earned this, but I will try to live up to it LOL!

It was so hard choosing who to pass this award onto – so many stylish bloggers out there!   So, I decided to pick three that currently stand out to me for not only being stylish, but because I admire them as well.

Kiki of Psyched for Style – not only is she stylish she’s damn talented too!  Just look at how she decorated her little one’s room.

Sew Petite Girl – now here is INCREDIBLE talent!  Just check out this DIY Pearl Necklace!

Jessy of The Little Dust Princess – my fellow petite Torontonian 😛  whenever I have a blogging/twitter panic attack Jess is always there to rescue me LOL!  Here’s an example of some advice she gives about blogging.

More things I missed? Nooo! And this one especially!

    This one!

You can’t believe how many times I read the section you wrote about me. I know it sounds narcissistic but it’s really not about that.

I feel really touched about the kind and sincere comments you made about me – that is so sweet and kind of you!

And yes – this award – you totally deserve it!

    love,

    Marilou

I looove the mustard cardigan! I’ve been looking for something similar, and finally picked up a BR factory cardigan in XS. It fits a little big, but I soo wanted a mustard yellow item! I think I like yours more though 🙂

I was just at the Gap earlier tonight and picked up the cardigan in olive/moss green. It was a size small and didn’t fit well and quite unflattering. However, it looks great on you! The mustard definitely adds a pop!

thanks for your comment on my mint couch photos series! haha yeah it was so random but that’s what made it so awesome. it was 2 ppl who had just procured the couch for $10-15 and they were just carrying it home. apparently it was really light but i guess they decided to take a break in the middle of the street. it doesn’t get any better than that!

i love how you paired the mustard yellow cardi with the grey top. that necklace is gorgeous! i love all the beaded details. you look very polished and chic 🙂

Hello curls…I’m so glad you love your mustard cardigan..I always reach for mine. It’s simply amazing how many colors it goes with and is so much better than plain ole black or gray. Beautiful necklace as well.

Congrats on your award! I also like Kiki’s home decor lol.

    Congrats on the award!

The yellow colour of your cardi is so nice and cheerful – perfect for banishing the winter blahs! And I know what you mean about loving a particular piece of clothing and wearing it all the time. Right now it’s a J. Crew striped bateau-neck tee. I bought it one size larger than my usual so it fits over my 8+ months belly. Helps me feel stylish even though I am so huge!

CONGRATS on the award!! You very much deserve it 🙂

And ah ha! I knew you had a mustard yellow post somewhere, I just couldn’t find it! I just linked it to my recent mustard post as my inspiration. I really love that color on you and I know what you mean about getting obsessed with one piece of clothing. I heart my Old Navy striped boat neck tee 🙂

And thank you for passing on the award to me – that is so incredibly sweet of you!

You look so cute in this outfit. Love the mustard color! I think it might be the color of the season… this must’ve been the 3rd or 4th post I’ve seen of this color. Perhaps it’s time to add it to my wishlist as well 🙂

Congrats on the award! Don’t underestimate yourself, you definitely deserve it!
