I was tagged to do “seven confessions” by the lovely Banhannas, so here we go!
1. My hair is naturally curly and I’m the only one in my family with this crazy hair. (Well I have some uncles with wavy hair, but nothing like what I have!)
2. My background is Indonesian. I don’t meet too many so when I do find out someone is Indonesian I get super excited for some reason. I have never been there though – never even been to Asia!
3. I can’t ride a bike. I never learned. I was an indoor child preferring to play with Barbies by myself! My husband used to race road bikes professionally – how’s that for opposites attract? 😛
4. I don’t drink alcohol. I just never liked the taste of it – I’d much rather have a smoothie, or a latte or a tea! I also find drunk people annoying but I hear that’s normal for all sober people.
5. I get obsessed with songs. I’m the type of person that can listen to a song over and over and over again. I will look up the lyrics to the song of the moment so I can sing to the the song on repeat. This is obviously one of the reasons why my husband love me 😛
6. I can’t eat a lot at one sitting but I’m ALWAYS hungry. I get hungry about every hour so I feel like I always need to be eating.
7. I talk myself out of things a lot. Which is why I tend not to get a lot of things done! I’m a great planner and “leader” when there are other people involved but when it’s just me I’m such a slacker.
Not sure if that was really interesting or not, but I’m a pretty simple person LOL!

I know I’m super late but thanks for sharing! I had no idea you were Indonesian either… don’t think I actually know any Indonesians! I’m not an alcohol drinker either, don’t like the taste, the cost, or the calories haha. I’ll take a boba milk tea over a cocktail any day 🙂 I get hungry a lot too, I always have to carry small candy bars or snacks with me because I get hypoglycemic easily.

I’m with you there on the curly hair! Long story, but mine made an appearance while in college. Some people find themselves during college, I found curls. About seven years ago my cousin told me that “Filipinos don’t have curly hair!” I don’t know why it took her so long to notice because seven years ago was way after college.
If you ever visit Seattle, there’s an Indonesian restaurant that has my Indinesian co-worker’s seal of approval.
Anyway, just found your blog. Clever name! I’m bookmarking you (I’m so inconsistent with following, blogrolling, etc.). I hem and haw about it.

I would love to see you w/slick straight hair. I’m not sure if you ever had a post w/straight hair.
I don’t drink alcohol. Mainly b/c I’m one of those asians who are allergic, but the bitter taste really is an acquired taste, I think. However, I love being around drunk ppl. I don’t find it annoying-more comical and I live to tell their story the next day @ brunch. I also like being the DD, but I think this is b/c I”m a control freak and like to be the caregiver.
Oh man, amen to #4 through #7! Especially #6! Me too, I’m alwayyys hungry, lol.

I think you’re the first Asian person I know with those kind of curls! That’s so cool! I had my hair permed all through junior high and high school because everyone complained my hair was too thin and that curly hair gives body!

I’m the only one in my immediate family with curly hair too! I’ve heard I have cousins with curly hair, but I’ve never met them. And just like you, I also eat tiny meals, but am hungry ALL THE TIME! My poor bf gained so much wait after we started dating. Poor boy kept taking me out to eat every time I was hungry…LOL.
I believe that opposites attract cuz its the same with me and my bf 🙂
I dont drink alcohol either theres no appeal to look a state at the end of the night and not know what happened on an ‘amazing’ night out.

Yay it’s nice to learn more about you 🙂 I have crazy wavy hair too, not as curly as yours, but it definitely stands out in family photos! I’m with you on #4 as well… there’s just something about the taste that I can’t stand. Mixed drinks are a-ok in my book though as long as the fruity flavor is overpowering 🙂
