Enchanted Holiday Nailwear Collection – Midnight Shimmer

Posted on November 9, 2010May 16, 2015 by Elaine
I thought I’d better get my posts up quickly on the Limited edition holiday items before people get upset with me that they’re no longer available LOL!
I’m loving the cute little gift sets being offered by Avon.
I picked up the Enchanted Holiday Nailwear Collection in Midnight Shimmer:
Sorry for the terrible picture!  This was the best picture I could get of the box showing the colours.  The other pictures I took the middle colour looked more grey!
The colours featured are Cherry Jubilee, Olive and Midnight Plum which you can also purchase individually.

I first tried out the Olive Green:

This colour is very on trend with the whole military thing going on this Fall.  I’m not sure if I can pull off green nails though.  But then again, I just started wearing darker nail polishes last year!  (I was always a pink or natural nails kind of girl).   But since my discovery of Seche Vite (see my review here) I’ve been given the freedom to experiment!
Here is a picture of the Cherry Jubilee:

I really liked this colour (even though I’m terrible at nail polish application!)  This colour is more classic but I especially love it for fall and for the upcoming festive season.  It just makes me feel more dressed up 😉

Lastly I tried out the Midnight Plum:

The picture makes this colour look almost black (and my hands as orange/yellow LOL!)  Sorry, the lighting was terrible and I wasn’t able to find natural light.  It really is quite a dark plum colour and at first I felt strange wearing it, but I’ve been wearing it for a few days now and it’s definitely growing on me.
Overall I think these Nailwear collections are great gifts and cute stocking stuffers!  If you’re the type to experiment with nail colours then I think you will have no problem wearing these.
What colours do you find are the most wearable?

Thanks ladies! I love the red one too, very classic.

@Canadianpetite – I was thinking the same about the olive but my colleagues didn’t even really notice LOL!

I just started wearing any colours besides clear or pink in the past year or so! Definitely takes a while to get used to it, but it’s so much fun to experiment!

I love the Olive Green altho I haven’t applied mine on yet. Not sure how my conservative office colleagues would take to it. The red looks good on you but I’m only brave enough to put it on my toes. Will read more of your Avon blog!
