Summer is finally officially here! The sun is here and I can FINALLY make open toes a permanent thing. It also means that I can put away my heavy moisturizers and bring out my summertime skincare routine. As the days gets hotter (and longer), it’s all about keeping the skin bright, clean, and protected. The Éminence Organics Citrus and Kale products are perfect for this time of year.

Éminence has always got something for every time of the year. In the summer months I like to use products that involve a lot of citrus. When I say citrus, I mean lemon, lime, and grapefruit – common fruits that can do some great things for your skin. Lemon juice has been a popular home remedy for toning the skin while lime can remove surface impurities. Grapefruit is wonderful for refreshing the skin. Combine these things with vitamins C and E to protect the skin and you’ve got a potent combination of natural ingredients to keep your skin looking radiant.

I start with the Éminence Citrus Exfoliating Wash. It’s a gel scrub for oily to normal skin. I use it once a week since it contains a physical exfoliant of grapefruit seed and peel that can be harsh on my sensitive skin. However, this wash contains shea butter to keep the skin feeling moisturized.

After that, I go straight for a serum. Some people go for a toner first, but the Citrus and Kale Potent C+E Serum takes care of that step for you! Then, I put on sunscreen and moisturizer.  Remember, it’s important to wear sunscreen throughout the year, but especially when the days are longer.

At night, I like to use the Citrus and Kale Potent C+E Masque. It’s a cream-gel masque that brightens my skin and makes it feel firmer. It’s never too early to start thinking about keeping your skin firm! I let the masque sit on my face for 5-10 minutes while I go through the rest of my bedtime routine. Then, I use a wet face cloth to scrub it off before I rinse with clear water. I follow up with a heavier night cream, moisturize my lips, and go to sleep. When I wake up, my skin feels remarkably firm and hydrated.
