OOTD: orange and brown

Posted on August 28, 2010November 4, 2014 by Elaine

I used to HATE orange and brown together.  I think it’s because these were my elementary school colours and they were NOT put together well.  But the past few years this colour combination has grown on me.  It’s much better than orange and black as that always makes me think of Halloween.

For this outfit I paired the skirt worn here with a simple orange t-shirt.

Shirt:  Jacob Connexion size XS
Skirt:  Suzy Shier size 0
Necklace and sandals:  Avon

What do you think of this orange and brown outfit versus the last?  I think I feel more comfortable in this one.  It’s very easy to wear and I don’t have to do too much to make it stand out since the colour pops on its own.

Wow, love this skirt and love the way you pair it with orange. Never thought it would work together, but it did on you! I think the previous post worked well as well, but not as popping and gorgeous as this one. Great look.

I LOVE this. And it doesn’t look anything like Halloween. That skirt is so great and can go with pretty much ANY color at all.

    You look great!

That skirt is from Suzy Shier? That’s pretty awesome! Love the brown and orange together, I would use it for a living room colour scheme too!

    You look really pretty!

The worst color pairing ever for me is orange and green. HATE it, unless the wearer is supposed to be a pumpkin for halloween LOL. So weird, since light orange/melon is my favorite color but I don’t really wear it often. I love the pairing though! The dark colors of the skirt really bring a brightness to the top.

you know i used to think the same about orange & black…haha! it’s the SF giants color and i’m not a sports fan.

i have changed my mind since and realized that orange definitely makes your skin look more tan. love the outfit and the necklace with it.

I think the orange and the brown look great together. And uh, your living room is awesome. Can you come over and decorate my house for me? I think my sister took the interior decorating gene and just let me with a shopping addiction.
