OOTD: Typical Casual Friday outfit

Posted on August 22, 2010November 4, 2014 by Elaine

I know it’s Sunday, but I’m always behind on my posts anyway 😛  This is an outfit that I might wear any day of the week at my work place but most of you may not be able to wear except maybe on casual Fridays.

Jeans:  Guido and Mary size 25 (made in Canada!)
Top:  Smart Set XS
Belt:  Danier

Wow, I think my whole outfit is from Canadian retailers!

Close up of the pretty sleeve details:

Would most of you be able to wear this casual Friday outfit to work?  I’m pretty sure my office environment is really casual compared to most places.

In more exciting news Vicky is hosting a great giveaway to celebrate her 100th post!!

@Canadianpetite Thanks so much for your comment – I know I get excited too when I find a Canadian blogger LOL! I’m over 30 too so we can learn from all the petite bloggers together. The top is really old actually – probably a few years! Anyway, welcome and hope to hear (and maybe see) more from you.

Thanks so much – everyone seems to be loving the jeans, maybe I should see if the Guido&Mary skinny jeans will be the ones!

I finally subbed to a fellow Canadian. Being over 30, I too have difficulty finding more conservative clothes for work. Not brave enough to blog my outfits as I hope to learn more thru PAG and AN. Love the details on that top. Which store did you buy it from? Have you tried Current?

That blouse is so cute. The color goes well with jeans. I can also wear jeans to work on Fridays which I like.

@ Elle – I’m pretty sure it’s a Canadian retailer only which is why most haven’t heard of the brand. Sometimes I can get lucky and find stuff that fits at these retailers 🙂

That top is SO cute, I love the feminine sleeve details. I am the kind of person who will get something because of their cute buttons or incredible ruffles and I love your top. I have never heard of the brand though.

@ Ping, aradhana, PAG and Hannah – thanks for the style ideas. These will make me wear this shirt more often 🙂

These jeans are by far my favorite pair. They are also my most expensive pair at well over $100 (eek!) – but they are about 3 years old now? So I think they were well worth it.

@Little Dust Princess – I know Toronto has been so humid hasn’t it? My office is frigid so I was ok wearing this the whole day – then I just hopped into my car and went home LOL

@Petite XXS – GOOD EYE! Yes it is!

I really like the top… both the color and pretty detailing! I think I recognize the top from your entry into PAG’s summer outfit contest, yes? 🙂

There were people mentioning about pencil skirts, yess would be so cute! I wonder if an A-line skirt would be as well!

I love me Canadian stores and designers! I could prob get away with this during Casual Fridays though my work environment is conservative!
    Congratulations to Vicky!

I can’t wear jeans to work at all. I can’t wear any denim, actually, so I don’t do denim skirts or anything. I bought a denim vest to test the waters and see if I can get away with it. 🙂 I’m not even allowed to wear open-toe shoes in my office! It’s sad, really.

You look fantastic in this outfit! The color is so pretty and I love the addition of the belt. I would absolutely wear this on a weekend in the fall! Summer is too hot here in Florida for jeans.

I agree with ping…those jeans fit you really well. I also like the puff detail on the sleeves. I an see this top looking nice tucked into a pencil skirt too.

I really like your outfit! I can’t wear jeans at work except Fridays therefore I always wear jeans and T-shirts on the weekend. I love your white leather belt. It goes well with your outfit

I love the color of this blouse! It’s so prettyyyyy!

And plus, I feel like the way the belt is on your stomach elongates your body a lot! I swear you don’t look petite at all in this photo, lol.

    I like it! [:

Oh and for a variation, you could totally tuck the shirt into your jeans and wear the belt as an actual belt! It looks adorable in my head! Lol.

cute blouse (love the color!) and really nice fitting jeans. the buttons on the sleeves makes the blouse extra special. i think i’d like to see it with either no belt or with a wide belt. 🙂

Nice and casual. That would be my outfit to work most of the time excluding summer. I wear skirts and dresses exclusively in the summer.

Thanks for entering my giveaway. Good luck. 🙂
