As a makeup and product junkie it’s often difficult for me to pair down what products I need to take with me when travelling. A great travel makeup bag is also really important. For me it needs to be durable, cleanable, hold a lot and look pretty too! I was recently introduced to the kickstarter campaign for Kusshi Makeup Bags and I have to tell you…I was pretty impressed!

Why are Kusshi Makeup Bags Different?
When I first saw my Kusshi makeup bags I loved how elegant they looked. While having stylish makeup bags isn’t on the top of my priority list, it certainly helps! The brush organizer with cover looks just like a clutch! In fact, there’s a slim pocket on the inside which can hold a few cards and a cell phone which makes this organizer double as an evening bag. While travelling this pocket is perfect to house jewellery.
Most importantly it holds more than enough brushes and I love that the holders themselves aren’t elasticized. Some of my other brush holders make it really difficult to put brushes back in their spots when you’re hurrying to get out the door.
As a bonus, the brush holder is detachable so it can actually fit into the other Kusshi makeup bag with a simple snap of the buttons!
The Kusshi makeup bag itself is really smartly designed. I like to have full view of all my products – and while it isn’t see through it unzips on three sides so that you can open it wide and see everything you need.
The mesh pockets are also perfect for sponges (like my beauty blender) and smaller tools like tweezers and an eyelash curler.
Probably the best part of the Kusshi makeup bag is that it’s washable. Sometimes makeup spills are unavoidable. But since the bag is easily washable I can just clean it up after a trip and it’s ready to go for my next one – or to be thrown into my everyday work bag.

That’s a well-designed bag. I take either a travel kit of brushes or I use the pencil-case style bag that my brushes came in. I don’t have a brush case that separates the brushes so this one is very appealing to me. I take so much stuff with me sometimes that I use a train case, but it’s hard to find things in the bag. Love that mesh pocket for blending sponges!
