Weekend – shorts!

Posted on August 17, 2010November 4, 2014 by Elaine

This is going to be a really quick post.  I thought I would post what I wore on the weekend while setting up for a friend’s bridal shower.  I only have maybe 3 pairs of shorts and they are usually reserved for resort vacations only!

This summer I’ve worn these shorts quite a few times though:

Shorts:  Dynamite size 1
Shirt:  it’s a dress!  mark by Avon

I’m not really sure what the proper length for shorts is especially for petites.  I feel comfortable in these because they aren’t super short and don’t ride up LOL.

Close up:

That’s about is for this boring outfit – but it works and it helped me beat the heat and humidity this weekend!

On to more exciting news – have you entered Lisa’s giveaway?

Your shorts are very cute but not too short which I like. I like your top as well..pretty pattern.

Thanks for the shout-out about my giveaway! I love those shorts on you – I had been on-the-fence about getting a pleated pair of black shorts myself for too long, and now I think I’m too late in the season for it!

@PetiteLG – yes I’m pretty sure it’s a Canadian store. I don’t really shop there often but I do have a few pieces from there that I’ve had forever!

@PAG – darn, should’ve posted what the dress looks like on it’s own! The dress is pretty shapeless and it’s not long, maybe mid-thigh? (I think). I usually wear it as flowy top belted! I’ll use the dress in another outfit soon so you can see how it looks. I think because the shorts aren’t tight and there are pleats you don’t see the bulge.

Those shorts really are a nice and “mature” length on you! And was the dress long? Where is it stuffed in? I tried the dress as a top style once and ended up with a huge bulge around the hips : )

Those shorts look really nice on you. They fit you quite well. I have never heard of this brand before. Was this brand only in Canada? I love B&W outfit!

The shorts are a perfect length, like a hybrid of a bermuda short. Love the print on your top! Very embroidery-ish. =0D
