A few weeks ago I was asked back to visit SweetGrassSpa to check out some of their services and makeup line. I had visited them a few years ago to get lash extensions (which I miss!) but this time I went in for a manicure.
If you haven’t visited SweetGrassSpa before let me tell you – it’s so much bigger than it seems like it would be from the outside!
It’s a really gorgeous and serene place and you don’t even feel like you’re in the city when you visit.
I enjoyed a nice latte in the lounge area before being whisked away past the pool area to the manicure and pedicure area. Ummm…there was a treadmill AND an exercise bike IN the pool! I had to snap a photo!

My manicurist was really amazing. I don’t remember my cuticles ever looking so nice and I loved how she shaped my nails. Instead of asking what shape I liked she said she was going to work with what would look best naturally. I’m glad I trusted her b/c the shape was perfect for me – if only I could maintain it!
I also chose a bright summery colour – OPI Dim Sum Plum!! I think I might have to pick it up as it should be a staple colour in my collection.
I recommend taking advantage of the lounge area too after your manicure. It’s the perfect place to just hang out and relax while waiting for your nail polish to set – it could be quite easy to forget that you have to leave at some point!

I got colour matched and was impressed at the coverage of the foundation since it seemed so lightweight. I also liked that adding just a bit of translucent powder on top gave me that “velvet matte” effect that is so in for Fall.
I’m excited to test these products out – check out how gorgeous that lipstick looks!
