I must have been in high school the last time I stepped into a LUSH store. I remember loving their products, especially the soaps, but me always being kind of an “old soul” found the store too overwhelming for my sensitive nose
Perhaps it’s because the last time I set foot in the store was as a teenager I for some associate the products as being for teens as well! Since I started blogging however I’ve seen a lot of love for LUSH in the bloggesphere and on twitter so I thought I would give it another shot!
Well the soaps are just as pretty as I remember them! What a great gift to be able to give to someone! And I must have been living under a rock, I didn’t know they had skin care items!
the Year of the Dragon!
To celebrate LUSH has created a limited edition soap in the shape of a Dragon. Formulated with their best selling Karma Fragrance it is a spicy blend of patchouli, lavender and pine.
Oops I meant Aqua Marina (stupid autocorrect). haha I agree with getting older means being more aware of what products to use. Let me know how that one works out!
I have the one cleanser that I showed above and I tried it once but then I keep forgetting to use it LOL! I’ll have to use it a few more time before posting a review
Hey thanks for the suggestion on the Aqua Marine cleanser – I never used to have sensitive skin but I’m finding that as I get older I have to be more careful with what touches my face. May have to check this one out.
Ahhh I actually have this soap too but haven’t tried it yet. I’m so glad you like the smell I’m definitely going to open this one up soon.
Yeah I noticed there is so much in the packages but since they are handmade they don’t last very long!
Carley, I get migraines too! And yes strong scents definitely triggers it. That’s a perfect game plan – as much as I’m liking the products it’s not likely a store that I could browse in
OOh if you’re a dragon then DEFINITELY pick this one up!
We recently (in the last 6 months or so) got our first LUSH, which clearly shows that I live in the middle of nowhere.
I have definitely found the overall scent of the store overwhelming for me too because I get migraines from some scents (or too many at once), but I’ve become so addicted to their stuff that I just can’t resist! I usually look up what I’d like to buy online and then go into the store with an “I’m on a mission” mentality and just pick up exactly what I’ve planned on.
I’m a dragon, so I think might like to pick up the dragon soap the next time I’m there! The scent seems really intriguing.
I love LUSH, especially their soaps and bath bombs. I have recently tried some of their fresh face masks but I find that I waste it because I don’t use it all up before the expiry date. I am really liking the exfoliating body butters. It’s great for dry winter skin.
I haven’t been into LUSH in a while, but I’ve always loved their “Honey I Washed the Kids” soap – smells so divine. I should get some next time I’m at the mall.
I love Lush!! I use their products all the time. Angels on Bare Skin is good but I also like Aqua Marine cleanser if you have sensitive skin like me. They have great toners too!
That is some gorgeous soap!
Happy Chinese / Lunar New Year! I’m a monkey
I used to love going into lush at Eaton Center when I used to live in Toronto! their bath bombs were amazing!!
Have you tried using the cleansers? I’ve heard great things about them but haven’t had a chance to try them yet.
If you check it out be sure to let me know what you think, I’m so curious, there are so many products!
Oh ya?!? That’s great to hear! Happy New Year to you Sydney! No we don’t celebrate, I think my parents did back in Indonesia for my grandparents but I don’t think it was a huge deal for them either. I think b/c we don’t know much about the Chinese culture even though it is in our background!
Oooh lemme know what you get Tara!
Yay another horse!!!! I shall post once I’ve tried everything out for a while
LOL! I know it’s really overwhelming which is probably why I haven’t gone into a store. But each individual item has scents that are definitely tolerable
Dale, so glad to hear this from you! I’m looking forward to trying everything out
Oooh I’ll check the hair stuff out next time too! Oh yay for another horse! I didn’t know it will be in 2 years, cool!
Happy Lunar New Year! They recently open a Lush store here and I have yet to check it out. I have heard so many good reviews. I’m a rooster.
OMG! My coworkers raved about LUSH constantly. I personally haven’t tried any of their products. Now I have one more reason to do so. Happy Lunar New Year, Elaine! Are you doing something special?
I’ve been wanting to try Lush! You just reminded me to stop in the next time I see a store!
I’m a horse too!!! So cool!! I’ve never really tried Lush Skin care besides a toner spray and it was nice. Can hardly wait to see what you think. LOVE that dragon soap-very cool.
I quickly pass by it coz of the head-ache inducing smell
Will wait for your review of facial cleanser.
Karma is my fav-love Lush so much-got lots for Christmas! The Dream Cream is excellent-love the Lush attitude about packaging-no waste there. I use Ocean Salt and can’t live without it.
Never used Lush before until two weeks ago. I have their leave-in conditioner. Loving it.
Ooo! I am also a horse. That will be in two years
