Favourites from the MAC Spring Summer Collection

Posted on February 26, 2016March 30, 2020 by Elaine

MAC Spring Summer Collection // Toronto Beauty Reviews

{MAC Spring Summer Collection}

Winter weather has FINALLY made its appearance in Toronto and I’m already over it! I’m looking forward to spring and the MAC Spring Summer Collection is helping me do just that.

MAC always comes out with great collections and you could seriously go broke trying to pick up everything! The new Foiled Shadows ($24) from the Faerie Whispers collection caught my eye because they are all just so pretty! They’re not only pretty to look at but they’re very lovely and flattering; actually perfect for people that love minimal makeup. The shadow pictured above is “Joy Toy” and it’s the prettiest pink-copper colour that’s flattering on so many skin tones as it helps warm up the lids. You can also use it wet for a more intense look!

When it comes to my spring wish list I’m all about the lip colours! In case you haven’t noticed, matte lip colours are REALLY in! If you’re looking for pigmented matte lip products then check out MAC’s Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour ($24).

You can see from the swatches just how pigmented these colours are. When I snapped the photo they were still wet and shiny but they set to a beautiful matte texture. As with any matte lip products make sure your lips are well moisturized and exfoliated.

Admittedly, liquid lipsticks can be difficult to wear. But if you still want to go for drama with a matte lip then you NEED to check out the MAC Veletease Lip Pencils ($24). I’m a huge fan of lip pencils as I find them easier to apply than most other lip products. These particular pencils glide on beautifully and really DO feel like velvet! I find them more forgiving than matte lipsticks and I really love their staying power.

While we can’t do anything about the weather, picking up some of these gorgeous products from the MAC Spring Summer Collection will certainly help put a spring in your step!

If you’ve stopped by the MAC counter lately, let me know what you think of the current MAC Spring Summer Collection!

    I’m so in love with the Retro Mattes! I have 5 of them- Fashion Legacy, Recollection, Dance With Me, High Drama, and Back in Vogue- and am smitten with them all 🙂 Fab pigmentation and the wear has impressed me so much!

    Lately I have been in love with Matte lipsticks, too bad they are too expensive here in Europe from MAC (around 35 euros each). Loved the colours you picked out though!

      Yes me too! While I’m a little bit clumsy when it comes to liquid lipsticks these are worth the effort 😛
