A couple weeks ago Benefit hosted a Core Colours event to introduce new spring launches.
As predicted the evening was colourful and fun filled as the Benefit Canada team took us through their headquarters and told us a little bit more about the company.
So…is it bad that I didn’t know too much about Benefit before? Apart from the oh so cute packaging and cheeky product names I really didn’t know much about the company!
For example, did you know that the name of the company was called “The Face Place” but in 1990 after getting off a plane from Italy one the owners wanted a word that fit with “Bene”? Also, you know the famous Benetint? Well…this first bottle of “rose tint” was sold to a San Francisco exotic dancer who requested…ummm…nipple stain?
After the history lesson we were graced with the presence and talent of Maddox; Benefit’s makeup artist to show us different looks using the core colour collection.
He went through three looks with us for all different skin tones.
All looks were done with the core colour collection and I was surprised the cream shadows were used throughout!
I’ve never been a fan of cream shadows as they ALWAYS crease on me but I’m going to give these ones a try. I’m looking forward to playing with all my new goodies!
I’ve already tried out the famous “They’re Real Mascara” and I have to tell you…I’m completely a believer now. Just check out this pictures I posted on Instagram!
