Wow just in time to get in on the Black Friday / Thanksgiving deals of our American neighbors Express Canada opened on November 21st at the Toronto Eaton Centre.
I attended the Grand Opening event with Ella Pretty and we ran into Jenn there too! I have to tell you the place was packed!! It seemed everyone was shopping for everything! Here are some items from the Grand Opening event that caught my eye:
I loved this whole outfit on the mannequin! The lace top tucked into the pencil skirt is perfection. It’s hard to see in the picture but this outfit has been dressed up with a sparkly belt. This would be a perfect transition outfit from work to evening. Just throw on a blazer for the office and take it off and bring a clutch for night!
Also…I STILL haven’t jumped on the peplum trend. But this peplum top caught my eye. Why? The back is lace!!!
Again, here I go with the sparkly stuff! I really loved this skirt, but I’m PRETTY sure it is way too short for my liking LOL! Though I can people really rocking this skirt to a great party.
This next item I was so tempted to get…I was carrying it around with me everywhere – so perfect for a holiday party…but the practical side of me took over and I decided to leave it for a girl that has more fabulous places to be 😉
Ella and I had fun trying things on (thank you to her patient husband for snapping some photos!!)
I really, really loved this coat. They had it in so many colours, but I just couldn’t justify getting another coat LOL!
Do jackets count? Hahaha, I loved this faux leather rose coloured jacket. I’m trying on the small here but a kind sales associate scoured the back room for an XS so I came home with it!
I also came home with this dress. I just loved the pattern and I think I could style it for work and for evening.

I like your idea of wearing the first outfit for wear and then out at night – you’re so right – it would look so demure with a jacket/blazer – but perfect for a night out too!

The Faux Leather jacket is great, it’s totally your style! I’ve only shopped Express once in the states and I found I liked their accessories more than their clothes. I’m happy they’re now in Canada, I’m loving all these US retailers coming over to our side so we don’t have to deal with duties anymore!

Went in the next day and the store was just a hot mess, probably because of the deals. I never expected Express to be that way because it was never Old Navy-messy in malls I went to in the US.
