TESTING, TESTING: Bioré Acne Clearing Scrub

Posted on June 26, 2013 by Elaine
A while back (yeah…I’m sooo behind!) I had the honour of meeting up with new Bioré spokesperson: Canadian Figure Skater and Olympic Medalist Joannie Rochette!!

I have to tell you, this girl is so sweet in person and she’s absolutely gorgeous! We sat down to chat about her training and her beauty routine. She credits her good skin to the Bioré scrub which she uses everyday and she also uses the deep cleansing pore strips to clean out her pores since she is always wearing heavy makeup for her performances and competitions.
I had Ashley test out the scrub as she’s always looking for new cleansers. Check out what she had to say about it!
*****

We all have those times when our skin just doesn’t want to cooperate. I had a time like that recently, and luckily for me, Biore was there to help.

Product: Biore Acne Clearing Scrub

Price: Ranges from $5.99 and up

Available: At all major drugstores

What It Claims: “…get healthier, cleaner skin in just two days”

Review: Just two days? I’m a bit skeptical.

But alas, I was desperate. My skin was majorly acting up, and I was running out of options. I tried moisturizing my skin with different properties, but it was obvious my skin needed a bit of a added kick in the cleanser department. So I dropped my usual cleanser and tried this one.

Infused with a mandarin scent, I did enjoy the scrubbing beads as well as the icy-warm sensation that comes with it. I felt it was truly working, and I’m sure the salicylic acid helped that. While it didn’t magically clear up in my skin in under 2 days, it did get my breakouts and trouble areas under control. And now, with over 2+ weeks of use, I’m finding it’s a clear cleanser for exfoliating and clearing the skin. I’m no longer suffering from dry patches – the little exfoliating beads really work! I’ve actually thrown out my previous cleanser, and this one sits permanently in my shower stall.

This scrub is one of a line of “Acne Clearing” products from Biore. I would be really interested to know if using the entire range of products would really give my skin the kick it deserves and banish temperamental acne once and for all!

Overall: Good product, great scent! Biore has always been known for great skincare, and I find that their products are really good on sensitive skin. I’d say try this one out, if you’re having some trouble areas.

Has anyone else tried Biore’s Acne Clearing scrub?
