Testing, Testing: The Magic of Aloe

Posted on January 2, 2013 by Elaine
I think we’ve all heard about the benefits of Aloe right? When I was growing up my mom always had an aloe plant around. Whenever someone cut themselves or burned themselves she would cut a piece of the aloe leaf and spread the gel on our skin to soothe the pain. I also had really thin hair as a baby (I had a lot of hair but it was thin – especially in the front!) and I remember my mom rubbing the sticky gel on my hair line! Not sure if this worked or not but those of you know me know how big my hair can get 😛
Well I was intrigued when I was asked to review some products from a line called “Organic Natural Beauty“.

The product line is made in Italy and infused with good for you ingredients such as Aloe Vera and Olive Oil.
The two products I really enjoyed using were the Anti-Aging Gel and the Easy Lifting One Anti-Aging Mask.

Anti aging gel A&O
The gel was very lightweight as you can imagine and felt really cooling and refreshing on the skin. It wasn’t sticky at all and felt kind of “velvety” and soft when it completely absorbed. This is a great face “cream” for those that don’t like the feeling of anything on their skin.

The mask was interesting, it was a whole kit! The cloth mask comes compressed and is held in a plastic container. The serum is then poured onto the mask and it expands like crazy! I then had to unfold the mask and apply it to my face. I left the mask on for maybe 20 minutes? It didn’t feel too dry where it was plastered on my face but it did dry up somewhat – different from my experience with the MaskerAide Masks.

When I removed the mask my skin looked pretty rejuvenated! I mean, it didn’t work miracles but my skin definitely looked calmer, less inflamed 🙂 The pouch of cream that came in the kit helped to seal in the moisture.

Overall I really liked both these products. I think the mask kit is a bit much for just one use but the face gel would be nice to incorporate into a daily regime.

Have you tried any products with Aloe as the main ingredient?
