The sunshine is amazing – everyone is just in a MUCH better mood – I definitely feel happier knowing it’s sunny outside even though I’m stuck inside most of the day. But just knowing that I can step outside and feel the warmth is such a mood booster!
We definitely have to keep in mind that with all the benefits of the sun there are some harmful effects as well, which is why it’s so important to have a sunscreen on hand at all times.
I’ve always been a big fan of Ombrelle products and I’m glad they came out with the an SPF 45 and 60 in the sport version – my husband likes using the spray sunscreens as they don’t feel sticky and they absorb easily onto the skin.
I tried out the Ombrelle Complete SPF 30 lotion and I still found you really had to take the time to work it into the skin or that unslightly white film would appear and worse yet – the parts I forgot to rub in well went all flaky on me when I got to work! I didn’t try this out on my face even though I think you can but it did feel a bit greasy on my hands as I was applying it so I’m not sure I would want to put this product on my face.
Vichy is another brand known for their skin care. The Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 60 lotion was similar in texture to the Ombrelle Complete SPF 30 so while I would wear this on my body (making sure to work it in properly – white cast and flakes still can be present) I really don’t think I’d be applying this to my face even though it’s for face and body.
I was intrigued by the Suncare Oil in SPF 30. This stuff was great, it goes on just like a body oil which I’m a fan of. My only caution is to either spray it in your hands over the sink then apply, or spray this on outside. I made the mistake of spraying it on after I got out of the shower and a very slippery residue was left on the bathroom floor.

I also really love the peppermint in this one – I find peppermint really soothing. I will also apply this sunscreen to my neck and shoulders and it leaves my skin with a refreshing cooling effect.
What are your go to sunscreens? I’d love to check them out!
I’m on twitter a lot LOL! @TOBeautyReviews
Weird, did I not reply to this? Disqus is being so weird
I got it from Pure and Simple spas! http://www.pureandsimple.ca
And for some reason, this technology is being strange and responding with my new blogger name? Regardless, it’s me! Haha, Sorry for the confusion!
What’s your twitter?! I definitely didn’t even know you had one!
Let me know how you like it!
Sorry for the late reply! I heard the P+S one I mentioned above is great for darker skinned ladies since once you rub it in the white residue disappears into the skin. Of course you have to make sure it’s all absorbed…one time I left a bit unblended and it was obviously white on my skin LOL!
Awww so glad you found me again!!! Glad you’re back to blogging, you should jump on twitter too so we can chat
I get the P+S Sunscreen from the P+S spas! You can buy them in store or online: http://www.pureandsimple.ca.
Elaine! I’m so excited to have found your blog again, considering I disappeared for a while and am back to blogging!
I’ll have to try the pure + simple sunscreen. Where did you buy it, if you don’t mind me asking?
