So the popularity of the “beauty box” is definitely in full force. The newest one to arrive in Canada is GLOSSYBOX which was founded in Germany and is making its way to more than 20 countries this year.
Like the other boxes, GLOSSYBOX will send members a box of 5 beauty items each month for $15 (including shipping) and to keep the experience “exciting” a wildcard surprise item may be sent at any time.
I received my February GLOSSYBOX and here are the pictures I took:

The products:
Essie Nail Polish in “Neo Whimsical”
Oscar De La Renta “Live In Love” Body Lotion
Beauty So Clean Sanitizing Wipes and Mist
Elizabeth Grant Skincare Moisturizing Stick
Ahava Mineral Hand Cream
Elizabeth Arden Prevage Night Cream
Like the other companies you can create an online personal beauty profile which will help the company to tailor the box to your individual needs.
I was most excited to receive the Essie nail polish since nail polish isn’t a product I splurge on and also the Beauty So Clean samples since I have not tried this product out before but have heard buzz about them through the beauty blogger scene.
While I love the idea of these beauty boxes I’m personally getting a bit overwhelmed by them. It can be really difficult to figure out which box is right for you as they are all quite similar but of course have different products. My advice would be to research and see what other people have received in all the different boxes over the last few months. Check which brands each box offers on their website too and choose the ones associated with brands that appeal to you. I always want to know if the brands are also easily accessible either through the beauty box site or by other means. After all there’s no point in falling in love with a product only to find you can’t purchase it later!
As a beauty blogger I’m privileged to be able to try out new products all the time which is why I haven’t personally signed up for any of these boxes. I do however think they make a really nice and thoughtful gift for any of the women in your lives that aren’t beauty junkies but still love to receive something special in the mail and like to try out new products.
You can interact with GLOSSYBOX on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. Also be sure to check out the “GLOSSYTHOUGHTS” blog on their website.
What are your thoughts on the beauty boxes? Love them? Over them?

Time to wear my short, shorts!
There are so many that I am so overwhelmed with options and have just instead opted out of trying any. But I love seeing what others get
A Preponderance of Fashion
I just did a review on my GlossyBox as well! I wish I received the nail polish!
I agree, I’m overwhelmed as well. I think what bothers me is that we don’t know what we get in the boxes. I think out of all the boxes I’ve ordered I enjoy the Julep Maven Boxes the most and I am still an ongoing subscriber because I get to see what I receive and I can easily skip a month. Although, Julep Boxes are more expensive and they are more nail products oriented. There are pros and cons to each box!
I haven’t tried any of these but they look so fun. I might have to check into them, especially since I’m a chicken about trying anything new. This is a way to do it risk-free, I guess.
I agree with you
trying to figure out what box is right is overwhelming and I want ot sign up for something that allows me to try products i really want or would review myself…its a toss up….
I’m kind of over them. There’s so many now, but I’m noticing they’re throwing in too many things I just don’t care for or things like hand creams. This one had no makeup either-why not a lipstick?
I received mine last month as well and have been using the lip moisturizing stick consistently. It’s probably the only product from the box I thoroughly enjoy because I’m not a huge beauty person. I LOVE the packaging of GLOSSYBOX though.
