The bicolour lipsticks follow the Korean trend of an ombre lip by having two complementary colours on the same lipstick. It takes some practice to get right, but when you can do it, it’s a quick way to recreate the look. I really love the packaging of these lipsticks: the floral theme of spring is symbolized by the outline of a flower drawn on the silver tube. It’s elegant and looks great when you pull it out of your purse for a touch-up.
The eyeshadows glide on for a crease-proof and smudge resistant finish that blends easily. There’s also a sharpener under the bottom cap, which I thought was pretty handy! The colours are super soft, so I like to use them as a base under my regular eye makeup.
Typically, spring collections are more pastels and soft colours that don’t always work well with darker skin tones. Lise Watier seems to have solved that problem by also releasing their Rouge Intense Supreme collection of bold red lipsticks ($27). A light pink lip rarely works for me, but a bold red? Yes, please! These lipsticks come in a magnetic case, so they’re super fun just to open and close! Infused with antioxidants and Labrador Tea extract, these lipsticks feel comfortable and hydrating as they protect your lips. The Rouge Intense collection comes in 15 shades.
