I didn’t really think much about my skin’s biome until this past year where my skin barrier was compromised by challenging breakouts on multiple occasions, leaving me with dry, red, painful peeling areas of skin. The Cleanser
BYOMA’s Creamy Jelly Cleanser ($17.50) is a fantastic second product for my dual-cleansing routine. It goes on as a soft jelly and lathers up into a rich foam that helps to remove sunscreen and stubborn makeup. Ingredients like green tea and licorice root provide antimicrobial benefits while soothing the skin and leaving it fresh and hydrated. One to two pumps are enough to clean my face and neck, leaving no residue or buildup. I especially loved that the Creamy Jelly Cleanser did a thorough job removing makeup, sweat, and dirt but didn’t sting my eyes or any active breakouts I was having. The Mist
I have tried misting toners in the past but found that so much product ended up on my face and in my eyes that it was like getting sprayed by a super soaker! (Definitely not a good way to unwind at the end of the day!) Luckily, that’s not the case with BYOMA’s Balancing Face Mist ($19.50). A quick spritz dispenses the perfect amount, and the mist itself is so fine I don’t have to massage it in or use a cotton round to absorb excess product. My skin immediately drinks this up! The Balancing Face Mist feels like it’s truly hydrating my skin rather than just sitting on the surface and rolling off my face. Packed with probiotics, BYOMA’s Balancing Face Mist restores the skin’s microbiome while star ingredient allantoin gently exfoliates and soothes stressed-out skin. This is a face mist that’s more than just refreshing!
The Serum
As I mentioned earlier, I had been suffering from some serious breakouts earlier this year. BYOMA’s Clarifying Serum ($21.99) quickly became my secret weapon! With anti-inflammatory blue tansy and healing zinc, this serum left my skin hydrated, strengthened, and decongested. In terms of application, I really appreciated that the instructions included exact number of drops to use rather than making me try to decipher how many drops is “a few.” What’s more, the Clarifying Serum greatly reduced the healing time of the breakout I was experiencing when I first began using the serum, and I haven’t had a single breakout since I started incorporating this into my daily routine! I will definitely be repurchasing BYOMA’s Clarifying Serum as soon as I finish this bottle.
My Final Verdict
Adding BYOMA’s Creamy Jelly Cleanser, Balancing Face Mist, and Clarifying Serum to my skincare routine has helped me strengthen my skin barrier, reduce breakouts, and heal irritation.
