Andrew Marc Outerwear: A Style Feature

Posted on March 6, 2014December 13, 2014 by Elaine

Though I don’t consider myself a fashionista I’m always interested in getting to know new designers but I don’t necessarily take to all of them. I’m pretty practical and my style is pretty conservative so I try to only feature designers and items I truly like.

I’m really glad I was introduced to Andrew Marc. The outerwear is very classic but with a twist that makes them unique.

Andrew-Marc-Claire
Andrew Marc Claire Coat
THIS is the coat that stood out for me the most. It obviously stood out for others too as it’s already sold out! It retailed for $695 but went on sale for $347.50. I’m such a sucker for leather accents and the quilted pattern on the sleeves is just my thing! I’m also loving the asymmetric zipper. It’s all the little details that I love!
Andrew-Marc-Jessa
Andrew Marc Jessa Jacket
Of course because I loved those details on the sleeves my eyes were drawn to this Jessa leather jacket. It retails for $595 and is on sale for $238 which is actually a really great price for a full leather jacket with all these details. I’m not sure I could pull this one off though – it might be a bit too bad @ss for me!
Andrew-Marc-Emmy
Andrew Marc Emmy Jacket
I do love me some colour and this bordeaux leather jacket is just gorgeous! Retailing for $695 and is 60% off at $278. It doesn’t have as many details as the other items above but I think this colour makes it stand out on its own.
Andrew-Marc-Ashley
Andrew Marc Ashley Coat
I started perusing at the down coats and came across this beauty. It retails for $495 and is on sale for $198 which is an amazing price for a really nice down coat. I really like that it’s cinched in a the waste and the quilting of the coat is very flattering.
Ordering online is always iffy especially if you’re unfamiliar with the brand and their sizing. Andrew Marc is also based in the US although in Canada you can find them at Harry Rosen.
BUT…I was out looking for a gift for a friend at Marshalls and look what I found!
Andrew-Marc-Down-Coat
I have a feeling Marshalls had these coats all along but since I didn’t recognize the name I didn’t pay attention! This was a medium and was a price of $249.99. Shortly after I put this coat back another lady swiftly scooped it up!
As I was searching the racks I found another Andrew Marc coat in an XS!
Andrew-Marc-Red-Down-Coat
Look how well it fit me! It was very light weight and comfortable. It was also around the $250 mark I believe so sadly I couldn’t justify picking it up as I cannot be shopping for myself right now!
I wish I had known about this designer earlier so I could have kept my eye out for super mark downs at Marshalls but at least now I know and lesson learned!
Have you heard of Andrew Marc before and what do you think of the outerwear?

  • A quick reminder that Pride doesn’t stop after June. As I mentioned in my Pride post last year, I’m very aware of the privilege I hold as a White, cis, straight-passing queer woman. Celebrating Pride openly is not a risk to my safety. I can choose to whom I disclose my orientation and when. My identity is generally not seen as a threat or a negative thing. This is absolutely not the case for so many in the 2SLGBTQ+ community. ➡️ As companies move away from the “rainbow washing” of their branding for the month of June, please continue to
  • A moody day outside calls for some @givenchybeauty glamor! I’ve always been a fan of their Prisme Libre loose powder, and the newest addition to the Prisme Libre line is just as gorgeous. It delivers 24-hr matte finish, blurs imperfections, and contains skincare ingredients like capucine extract, annatto, and pink clay to purify and strengthen skin over time! Makeup with a side of skincare is a combo I can definitely get behind!
