Annabelle and Marcelle Beauty Unveiling Event

Posted on June 18, 2012 by Elaine
If you remember the last time I went to an Annabelle/Marcelle event  it was a blast! Looks like Ashley had the same experience during their “Beauty Unveiling” event!
*****
Annabelle and Marcelle Cosmetics hosted an event at Andrew Richards Design in Toronto. They unveiled their new beauty ideas and product lines for 2012. Luckily enough, I was invited to attend.  Here’s a small write up of my experience – forgive the quality of the photos, all were taken from my blackberry camera.

This beautiful stand was the first thing my eye caught the second I walked in. That much make-up in one area, I was in love – an entire wall / stand of Annabelle’s infamous make-up products. If I were stealthy, I would have taken it ALL home! Check out all the colours – absolutely gorgeous.

Annabelle is introducing a line of lip colours that are actually lip crayons. They work as both a liner and a lipstick and come in 12 gorgeous shades.

Here’s a swatch of a couple colours I liked the most. Look how pigmented and rich the colours are! Infused within the colours is shea butter, which will therefore keep lips enriched with moisture. The lip crayons themselves are retractable, and therefore, they are self-sharpening. Very convenient!

Next up was Annabelle’s new BB cream. Annabelle has pulled out all the stops for this one – they’ve introduced a new BB cream, a BB cream infused with SPF, a BB cream concealer pen, a BB compact, and a BB corrector pen. (Aside: ooh I’m looking forward to this BB cream seeing as I love the Marcelle BB cream so much!)
Check out the photo below. See the pens standing up on the right? Those are the corrector pens – they’re interesting and innovative because the white side acts as a ‘concealer’ and ‘filler’ of wrinkles, while the other side acts like a concealer. I can’t wait to dabble with this!

Next up, Marcelle has introduced this cute little ‘quad’ eyeshadows in 72 shades. Forgive my photograph, the sunlight was directly behind the booth! Marcelle has designed them ingeniously for the user – there are two different options available for us. One is an assortment of complimentary colours, while the other is an assortment of monochromatic colours that vary from consistency and shades (i.e. matte, glimmer, tones, etc).

Keep your eyes peeled for the above products in stores. Hopefully, in the upcoming weeks, I’ll have some positive reviews for you all!

So sad I missed out on this one. 🙁 Annabelle and Marcelle throw some of the best events in Toronto! And also sad I didn’t get to meet up with my fellow Toronto Beauty Bloggers, but I’m glad Ash had a great time!

  • Lip balm that changes color depending on your skin’s pH?! @winky_lux pH Lip Balm goes on clear, then transforms to a perfect color based on your skin’s pH (level of acidity). It’s so fun to see what color the balm becomes! It’s giving major mood ring vibes The formula is silky (not sticky), and the color lasts pretty well! So far, I’m impressed. Available at @shoppersbeauty @shoppersdrugmart! —————————————————————————— #torontobeautyreviews #mytbrfave #tbrcontributors #winkylux #shoppersdrugmart #shoppersbeauty #drugstorebeauty #affordablemakeup #crueltyfreebeauty #crueltyfree #phlipbalm #moodring #colorchanging #lipbalm #torontopr #torontobeautybloggers
  • In case you haven’t heard (lol), it’s the @sephoracanada sale! • Lately, I’ve been feeling a more subtle look. ☁️ Swapping out the black winged liner for a smidge of grey; trading in the full-coverage base for something a little softer. Not exactly sure why, but so far, I like it. ✨ Wearing @milkmakeup sunshine skin tint in light* + @uomabeauty drama bomb mascara* + @annabellecosmetics kohl eyeliner in charcoal* + @madeupbeauty_ lip conditioner in piña colada* + @lysbeautyofficial bronzer in motivate *gifted products @shoppersbeauty @natapr_ @matinee.studio @lexprcanada —————————————————————————— #torontobeautyreviews #mytbrfave #tbrcontributors #subtlemakeup #naturalmakeup #crueltyfreemakeup #torontopr #muotd #softmakeup #everydaymakeup #affordablemakeup #thoughtfulchoicesatshoppers
  • Nail extensions that last weeks but don’t damage your natural nails?!?! Check out the process for getting Après-X nail extensions! There aren’t many salons in Toronto that offer this service, but so far, I’m a fan! I love bio-gel, but I have the WEAKEST nails, so after I get the extensions removed, my nails shred and take forever to grow back out. I heard about this soak-off style, and couldn’t wait to check it out for myself! I haven’t gotten them removed yet, but I’ll update you all when I do! ✅ durable like bio-gel ✅ light and thin ✅✅✅
