Benefit They’re Real Triple Threat

Posted on June 18, 2014March 30, 2020 by Elaine

Many, including myself, know and love the Benefit They’re Real Mascara but now there are two other products that have joined the Benefit They’re Real family!

Introducing the Benefit They’re Real “Triple Threat”

benefit, they're real, mascara, eye liner, eye makeup remover, benefit cosmetics

Joining the They’re Real mascara is the makeup remover and the push-up liner! Now your eyes will REALLY stand out and taking it all off and the end of the night is a breeze too!

The makeup remover is a creamy lotion and will remove eye makeup gently – even waterproof makeup! Add this to a cotton pad and gently remove from the eyes. It works well, however I use an oil cleanser to remove all my makeup at the same time so I will personally just stick to that!

I would say the new star of the collection is the new Push-Up Liner! (Watch out mascara!) It’s like a hybrid between a gel liner and a liquid liner!

Here is what the tip looks like – kind of funny right? This is a gel liner contained in a pen. I’m a big gel liner girl but it can be a bit annoying to have to use your clean angled brush and dip into the pot of gel that usually dries up a bit at the surface.

I hope you can see it, but there are two holes on the pen tip where the product comes out of. All you do is twist the bottom portion up a couple of clicks. You may have to click several times the first time you use this to get all the product up the pen, but after that 1 – 2 clicks is all you really need! The tip is very soft and flexible so it kind of conforms to your eye shape and “hugs” the lashes. It still takes a while to get used to but I’m really loving this product!

This was one of my first attempts at using this liner – not perfect, but not bad right? I recommend starting off slowly like you would when applying a liquid liner. The angled tip makes it really easy to get a nice cat eye. I would also recommend wiping the tip before adding more product just to avoid any mistakes and for a cleaner line. This product is also waterproof and I have to say it does quite a good job at staying put most of the day! By the end of the day I do notice some smudges or fall out under my eyes – however that could also be a combination of mascara! Another feature I love about this liner is that it’s matte black. Sometimes liquid liners can look too shiny for my tastes.

So there you have it – the Benefit They’re Real “Triple Threat” collection!

Are you excited about these new products too? In particular let me know what you think about the push up liner!

  • You *know* I had to! Once I had my wedding hair & makeup trial, I put the look TO WORKKK! ✏️ To get a sense of how my look would perform on my wedding day, I did: ✅ a humidity test ✅ a transfer test ✅ a kiss test ✅ a food test ✅ a crying test ✅ an exertion test It was a ton of fun and really gave me a sense of how the look would handle the various stresses of a wedding day. The tests showed what worked well and where we needed to make some small
