Bring Back Summer

Posted on August 18, 2014August 17, 2014 by Elaine

What IS UP with this Toronto weather?  It’s been deemed “Augtober” since it’s been feeling more like fall than summer. I still have faith that the warm weather will return but in case you’re not patient enough to wait here are some products that will at least help you feel like summer’s still going on!

The best way to keep your senses thinking it’s still summer is with scent.
bring-back-summer-vitabath-lime-citron-basilStart your day off right with these Vitabath products in Lime Citron Basil scent. One good thing about the lack of humidity is that we can sleep with the windows open and let in a bit of fresh air. Since the temperature has been dropping that also means it’s hard to get out of bed and out the door in the mornings! The fresh scent of the body wash and lotion is a great way to wake up your senses.

On the days where you wash your hair I’ve got two picks that have lovely summer scents to them.

If you’ve got thin hair the new Marc Anthony Regenerating 12 Second Miracle shampoo and conditioner could be your new best friend! Apple stem cell and biotin help to strengthen and thicken your hair as you cleanse and condition and the light fruity scent is a great morning motivator too.

If you want to protect your summer colour or have coarser hair like mine my pick is the Rexall Be. Better Coconut Oil Colour Protection shampoo and conditioner. I was quite surprised at how well this shampoo worked for my hair. It really left it soft and smooth and worked well whether I wore it curly or straight. The smell was also INCREDIBLE! If you love coconut then this one is definitely for you.  You can see in this photo I posted for the Fashion Magazine ‘s Beauty Panel how well it worked for my hair:

Of course simply applying scent it the easiest way to boost your mood – that’s what scent is all about right? Pick your favourite summer scent to bring back summer instantly in a few spritzes.

You can’t get any more “summery” than L’Occitane’s Verbana Frisson Eau de Toilette. This bright and light fragrance with Verbana, citrus and cucumber is perfect way to finish off your beauty routine and bring back summer to your life even when the weather outside says otherwise.

How have you been coping with this fall like “Augtober” weather and have you been doing anything to bring back summer?

  • You *know* I had to! Once I had my wedding hair & makeup trial, I put the look TO WORKKK! ✏️ To get a sense of how my look would perform on my wedding day, I did: ✅ a humidity test ✅ a transfer test ✅ a kiss test ✅ a food test ✅ a crying test ✅ an exertion test It was a ton of fun and really gave me a sense of how the look would handle the various stresses of a wedding day. The tests showed what worked well and where we needed to make some small
  • Happy Gotcha Day to the cutest, most annoying fur baby there ever was. Two years feels like it’s gone by in an instant, and yet I can hardly remember what life was like before you came into our lives. Here’s to many more years of couch snuggles, hikes, vegan wheat-free treats, playdates with your bestie @ripley_the_terrier, and sleepovers with @llabc.ca when Adam & I need a break We love you, Goose. : First pic is by the insanely talented @alexa.studios —————————————————————————— #gotchaday #torontodogs #dogstagram #torontowedding #distillerydistrict #mytbrfave #torontobeautyreviews #tbrcontributors
