Toronto Event: Diva Girl Conference

Posted on May 16, 2014May 19, 2014 by Elaine

The DivaGirl Conference was held last month and Kat – a fitness enthusiast was kind enough to attend and cover the event on behalf of Toronto Beauty Reviews! Check out her experience and her purchases!

The 3rd annual DivaGirl Conference  was a fun, educational and stylish event held in downtown Toronto at the exclusive Spoke Club. The DivaGirls celebrate women and enlighten their outlook on health, beauty, fitness, style and relationships.

A perfect Saturday for fun flirty dancing, enjoyable workout classes, vendors with extremely chic merchandise and well-spoken motivators.  Among the collection of goods to see there were a few vendors and speakers that really stood out to me.
Mandy Mullin from Inspired Wellbeing is an independent maker of natural cream products created from her own recipe of all natural ingredients.  These ingredients combine to offer a soft smell and non-greasy texture; I know because I lathered up!  All of Mandy’s products are affordable and plentiful in amount.  Inspired Wellbeing not only focuses on natural creams but their vision is to allow people, specifically women, to regain a connection with nature.  They offer Nature Retreats that allow for rest and relaxation, inspiration and a true experience with nature to connect with the energy of life.

Dr. Sara Celik co-founder of Loseit Tea focused on how women can reshape and strengthen their mind and body by just slowing down and establishing their core values.  Hormones are one of the main factors that skew judgment.  So we need to cleanse, detoxify, workout, eat well, even get to bed early to get rid of all the unwanted stress and build-up of hormones. Loseit Tea is an organic tea company that contains the finest organic ingredients and has been formulated for maximum results to obtain that perfect cleanse!  By slowing down and cleansing, women are given the opportunity to learn about themselves, become grounded, nourished and well balanced in this fast pace world we live in.

Lastly for the more chic and stylish Torontonians , Shop for Jayu offered the most stunning collection of jewelry at the conference.  Homemade in Korea these pop-up jewelers offer affordable, extremely stylish, and easy to wear pieces that are absolutely fabulous!

This admirer purchased a genuine leather bracelet with gold studded accents and a gold linked chain to finish off the whole piece for $36 flat.  I will definitely be purchasing more from their online store!

For all DivaGirl’s check out future events on their website.  It is a wonderful event to empower and honour women!  I hope to be given the opportunity to take part once again in the near future!

Kat lives in the GTA and loves fitness, food and travel. A casual girl at heart she’s more comfortable sporting a cool pair of converse and hoodie but her sense of style has evolved to favouring elegance over bling. You can find her on instagram.

  • Happy Gotcha Day to the cutest, most annoying fur baby there ever was. Two years feels like it’s gone by in an instant, and yet I can hardly remember what life was like before you came into our lives. Here’s to many more years of couch snuggles, hikes, vegan wheat-free treats, playdates with your bestie @ripley_the_terrier, and sleepovers with @llabc.ca when Adam & I need a break We love you, Goose. : First pic is by the insanely talented @alexa.studios —————————————————————————— #gotchaday #torontodogs #dogstagram #torontowedding #distillerydistrict #mytbrfave #torontobeautyreviews #tbrcontributors
  • You *know* I had to! Once I had my wedding hair & makeup trial, I put the look TO WORKKK! ✏️ To get a sense of how my look would perform on my wedding day, I did: ✅ a humidity test ✅ a transfer test ✅ a kiss test ✅ a food test ✅ a crying test ✅ an exertion test It was a ton of fun and really gave me a sense of how the look would handle the various stresses of a wedding day. The tests showed what worked well and where we needed to make some small
