Earth day (April 22nd) is just around the corner and what better time to try out natural products if you haven’t already yet? Check out some of my healthier beauty choices from earlier this year and here are a few more natural products and Earth Day incentives you may want to check out:
Have you ever tried Kiss my Face natural products? After 30 years in the business these guys know what they’re doing. They have a wide range of products including hair care, shaving products, body soaps and lip care – you’re likely to find a product to suit your needs.
I wrote about Konjac sponges in the post linked above as well and I’m still a fan! A new Canadian based distributor just opened up called Natural Konjac Sponge and I was able to try another face sponge – this time a green tea one. Green tea is a natural anti-oxidant and contains anti-bacterial agents which should help to reduces swelling and redness caused by acne. I also tried out the White Konjac body sponge which I use daily in the shower. It’s so gentle on the skin and I feel like I’m getting a gentle massage every day. Baxter found them interesting too – don’t worry I sanitized them with hot water before using!
Have you heard of Amala beauty products before? I did a review on one of their primers last summer. I had the chance to try out a couple more products from the line and they are great. The purifying gel cleanser (picture above) is so gentle and has multiple benefits such as clearing clogged pores and removing impurities.
I also tried out the Rejuvenating Toner. It contains licorice root which helps to soothe inflammation and cocoa bean which stimulates circulation. Bonus: it smells like chocolate too! Weleda products are all natural and make a great choice for Earth Day! The hair care line is the spotlight for the month of April. Don’t forget to learn more about this line during the Weleda Earth Day twitter chat happening on April 21st.
Pure + Simple always has great Earth Day promotions going on. From April 20th – 22nd they are inviting you to contribute to sustainable beauty by bringing your empty facial skincare containers (ANY brand!) and receive a 50% discount on the equivalent product type from the Pure + Simple line. This is a great way to add some natural products into your skin care routine if you’re unsure of where to begin. The containers you bring in will be recycled generating funds through Terracycle and all proceeds will be donated to the David Suzuki Foundation.
Aveda’s Limited Edition Light The Way Candle will be sold at Aveda salons, spas and retails stores. In celebration of Earth Day, all proceeds made from the sale of this candle in April will go to Global Greengrants Fund water related project around the world.
