Delectable by Cake Beauty: Everything Balm Review

Posted on July 12, 2016March 30, 2020 by Joanna

I’ve been a long-time fan of Cake Beauty products. Not only do they smell delicious, but they do not include parabens, sodium chloride, phthalates, SLS, GMOs, mineral oil, petrolatum, gluten and triclosan. See if their newest product meets my expectations by reading my Cake Beauty Everything Balm review.

Some highlights of the product are:

  • Small and compact with an easy-to-use pump
  • Smells delicious (like really yummy icing)
  • Is not sticky or greasy
  • Full of good-for-you ingredients
  • A major multi-tasker that cuts down on purse and cupboard clutter

The Everything Balm was created to reduce the clutter of products in your purse or your bathroom cupboard. It serves ase a multi-tasking tube of yummy goodness! There are 21+ ways to use your Everything Balm, from plumping your lips, taming your brows, removing your makeup to softening your heels or adding a little pop to your cheekbones! It contains vitamin A, vitamin E and soy with high performing, natural castor oil as the key ingredient. In fact, castor oil has been used for thousands of years as a hair and skin treatment because of its deep penetration abilities and is known to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin and encourage hair, brown and lash growth and strength. The ingredients also include Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter and Sunflower Seed Oil.

Need I also mention that this product is also cruelty free and vegan?

I decided to try my new balm at some of the suggested tasks to see how it fared for myself. Step one was to tame my brows and I was not disappointed. I have very coarse eyebrows with hair that likes to do what it wants. One small bit of the balm slicked them down for a natural, put-together look. I also put some on my lips and loved how much they were left moisturized but not sticky and smelling delicious!

I then applied some to my face as I was not wearing any makeup. It brightened up my features and giving me a glow in a completely non-greasy way. I enjoy how the easy-to-use pump puts just the perfect amount onto your finger tip.

Here is a list of different ways to use this handy tube of goodness:

  • Softens skin
  • Tames brows
  • Plumps pouts
  • Conditions cuticles
  • Pops cheekbones
  • Brightens dark circles
  • Seals split ends
  • Glosses lips
  • Nourishes dry patches
  • Softens heels
  • Shields skin
  • Rejuvenates knees
  • Smooths frizz
  • Reduces itchiness
  • Refreshes hands
  • Soothes sunburns
  • Nurses cracks
  • Restores elbows
  • Eases bug bites
  • Prevents windburn
  • Extends your fragrance
  • Relieves rashes
  • Acts as a makeup remover
  • Fills in fine lines

I am looking forward to toting around this little Canadian superstar in purse for the summer as my makeup routine lightens up and my skin gets a bit of extra colour.

The Cake Beauty Everything Balm retails for $16 at cakebeauty.com, well.ca, kohls.com, and beautyboutique.ca

Once I had my wedding hair & makeup trial, I put the look TO WORKKK! ✏️ To get a sense of how my look would perform on my wedding day, I did: ✅ a humidity test ✅ a transfer test ✅ a kiss test ✅ a food test ✅ a crying test ✅ an exertion test It was a ton of fun and really gave me a sense of how the look would handle the various stresses of a wedding day. The tests showed what worked well and where we needed to make some small
