Fall Beauty Look

Posted on October 31, 2016October 30, 2016 by Joanna

Want something bold, edgy and classic at the same time? Today I create a fall beauty look with some fabulous products from QUO, NYX, KISS and L’Oreal Professionnel!

Fall Beauty Look – Hair

L’Oreal Professionel Paris Wild Styler’s 60’s Babe Savage Panache by Tecni.ART could not be more up my alley. I have always been a fan of 1960’s fashion. This decade made a comeback on the runways of the Spring/Summer 2016 Fashion Weeks. Big hair of the 60’s is now being revisited with a messy, chic and textured interpretation.

My hair was teased a lot ( A LOT)  and secured with bobby pins by hair stylist Taylor Curran. She did an amazing job! I used some of the Wild Stylers 60’s Babe Savage Panache for added hold and texture. This is described as a “powder spray” and greatly can assist with building body when back-combing and teasing. You can use it to achieve extreme volume! What do you think of my modern and messy take on a beehive?

Tip: If you are looking to try a new haircut, colour or style download the new Style my hair app by L’Oreal Professionnel. You can try out new looks and see if they suit you, before actually committing to it in a salon.

Find some other Wild Styler looks at the L’Oreal Professionel website.

Fall Beauty Look –  Skin

NYX Color Correcting Concealer and Define & Refine Powder Foundation work together to give a flawless yet natural complexion.

I blotted a little of the green from the concealer palette on any red areas. I did not need any of the other colours, but the peach is good for bags under the eyes! This includes six shades that work well with a variety skin tones.

I dusted the foundation over my entire face after the concealer. It gave me a natural, matte finish. The colour I am using is DRPF02 Light. The deeper shade can be used to sculpt and define but I actually mixed them to create a natural glow.

Fall Beauty Look – Eyes, Lips and Cheeks

Fall Beauty Look 2016 // Toronto Beauty Reviews

This fall QUO released quite the collection of makeup and tools that epitomize the season. The handy brush set comes with a compact bag great for travel!

On my eyes I am wearing colours from the “Clean Sweep” Quo Eye Shadow Palette that consists of a lot of clean blues and grays. I used a couple of the neutrals along with a navy tone in my crease. I then applied a black liquid eyeliner to create a winged look.

On my cheeks I applied the blush from my Quo “Perfectly Ordinary” Face Palette. It gives a warm and toasty appearance.I used a but of the included highlighter on my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose and between my eyebrows.

Eyebrows were shaped and defined with the Quo Brow Palette “Raise Your Brows.” I loved how natural and polished it made them.

I finished off my makeup with a coat of my Quo Matte Lipstick in “Mysterious.”

These Quo products are available exclusively at Shopper’s Drug Mart this autumn 2016.

Fall Beauty Look –  Lashes

Fall Beauty Look 2016 // Toronto Beauty Reviews

KISS Natural Flourish Blooming LASH offers fantastic options that range from natural to dramatic. I  used a set called “Tulip.” I love that they are “multi-angle meaning that there is more than one layer to each, creating a fuller, more dynamic look. Each set of lashes also comes with a small tube of glue. This was the finishing touch to my edgy, fun and elegant look for this season!

What are your thoughts on these products? Are you tempted to incorporate them into your beauty wardrobe this year for your fall beauty look?

I love a good mask, and goodness knows my skin needs a bit of help nowadays! ➡️This is one of the products I featured in my blog post about Black-owned beauty brands. • Fresh nails for Spring! This was my first time getting a dip powder mani. It was so interesting! Apparently it’ll last about 3-4 weeks. I like that I didn’t have to cure the nails with a UV lamp, and that there was less filing than with biogel. I decided not to go with extensions today, but that’s an option as well. So far I’m a fan! Do you prefer shellac, bio-gel, dip, or natural nails? —————————————————————————— #torontobeautyreviews #mytbrfave #tbrcontributors #springmani #dippowdernails #dipmanicure #toronto #torontonails #torontopr #dipnails #nailinspo #bluenails #shortnails #opidippowder #organicnailbar #organicnailbarto #kingwest #freshnails #nailstagram #simplenails #nailsalon
  • I got Botox! (Technically, I got Nuceiva, which is a different brand of neuromodulator, but does the same thing) I’ve been feeling uncomfortable with the fine lines on my forehead, and wanted to try out neuromodulators! It was easier and much less painful than I anticipated, but definitely was a bit of an emotional journey. ➡️ I got 24 units during this visit, at a cost of $11 each. (Cost will vary depending on brand of neuromodulator, the clinic you choose, and the person who does the treatment) ➡️ This treatment will probably last around 3 months, and then will
