Gardener’s Dream by Aroma Crystal Therapy is Another Hit ‘Made In Canada’ Line

Posted on January 15, 2014March 30, 2020 by Elaine

Even before I started blogging I was always stocked with lotions and body washes and scrubs etc. I’ve tried them all and it kind of takes a lot to make an impression on me. I was asked to check out some products from Aroma Crystal Therapy and was looking forward to it since they’re Made in Canada.

Gardener's-Dream-Collage
The aromatherapy bath and body products by Aroma Crystal Therapy are all made with 100% pure essential oils, 100% non-toxic and environmentally friendly ingredients and “no chemicals”.

I received the whole Gardener’s Dream Product Line but I wanted to highlight my favourites.

The first product I tested out was the Face and Body Wash ($15).
Gardener's-Dream-Body-Wash
The packaging online seems to be different from the one I received (just in case it’s a bit confusing). What struck me right away was how much this product foamed up and it doesn’t contain any SLS! I’ve been using this in the shower daily and also to wash my face quickly in the mornings along with my Dr. Sponge. I haven’t experienced any issues of tightness or dryness with my skin while using this cleanser. It contains tea tree oil which is antibacterial (read: helps fight blemishes!) and lemongrass for an uplifting and fresh scent.
Gardener's-Dream-Lip-Saver
The Lip Saver ($4.69) is really creamy and easy to apply to the lips. You can use it day and night but I personally prefer it at night or if I’m just hanging at home as it feels slightly heavier than other lip balms.
Gardener's-Dream-Body-Scrub
The body scrub ($17.95) is new and is my absolute favourite of the products! Honestly I just figured this would be like any body scrub out there. First off, it’s very gentle so you don’t feel any irritation on your skin but it’s the scent that hooked me! Now…for some this scent might be really strong. The scrub is filled with amazing ingredients like lavender oil, rosemary, eucalyptus, peppermint and cinnamon! It’s not just the scent though but the sensation this scrub leaves you with. Your skin feels energized and I’m pretty sure my circulation was stimulated as I felt like my blood was rushing to the surface of my skin. It felt amazing applying it in a warm shower but when I stepped out of the shower that’s when the cooling feeling of the peppermint stayed with me – I loved it! It felt so invigorating and comforting all at the same time.
Gardener's-Dream-Lotion
The lotion ($24.99) is perfect to layer on your skin after you’ve used the scrub as it give a milder but similar sensation as the scrub. I have to warn you – while I absolutely loved it – my cat wouldn’t even let me pet him! The smell was definitely too strong for him so it might not be everyone’s “cup of tea”.  The lotion is very lightweight and absorbed well into the skin after a bit of rubbing in.
Gardener's-Dream-Cream
The cream ($29.99 – 180 mL) is the original product and is the “go-to” product for many ailments such as cracked, itchy skin, aches and eczema. It’s a heavier version of the lotion and it’s perfect for the hands – especially at this time of year. I’ve used it on my feet at night too to treat my tired soles!
All in all I’m extremely impressed with this very simple but effective line. Since it feels quite concentrated I would do a patch test if you are sensitive especially to essential oils but I would highly recommend giving this product line a try.
There seem to be several locations in Canada and the United States that carry this line (I was only able to search for one in Toronto) but they also sell online. The website isn’t the best I’ve seen so I would probably give them a call if you have any questions. But if this line sounds like your thing definitely give it a go!

  • Fresh nails for Spring! This was my first time getting a dip powder mani. It was so interesting! Apparently it’ll last about 3-4 weeks. I like that I didn’t have to cure the nails with a UV lamp, and that there was less filing than with biogel. I decided not to go with extensions today, but that’s an option as well. So far I’m a fan!
