I don’t have very many green items in my wardrobe. In fact I think that this outfit contains the two and the three pieces I own! I’m so envious of how so many bloggers are able to incorporate colour so easily and creatively into their outfits. I particularly like the colour green but I think it can be very tricky to wear. I don’t really know if this colour suits me or not but since these pieces are in my closet they deserve some wear right?
Sweater: H&M XS
Top: H&M XS
Boots: Miz Mooz Gayle size 7
Gah just realized I’m very shiny in these pictures – sorry about that – have to remember to “powder my nose (and forehead!)” before taking pictures. The curse of oily skin 🙁
Does anyone else find green particularly difficult to pull off? And any styling tips for these pieces?
Hi Sweetie!
Would you say you are a 0 or a 00 at Banana Republic?

I find I don’t wear a lot of hunter green b/c it feels too earthy to me, but I love kelley green!
This is adorable on you and I’m in love with your boots! I think you did a great job styling green- it’s tough!
Green can definitely be tricky and the shade that looks best will vary from person to person depending on skin tones. I personally prefer olive green but kelly green is great as well.
The green and gray combo is great! Looks fab on you, too!

I love the green sweater on you! I actually just purchased a green cardigan online because I also lack green in my closet.
Cute sweater! I find olive and khaki greens are really hard to wear, which means having to pass on the whole military trend. I do like bright grass green – I have a cotton cardigan in that shade, which I like pairing with a white blouse. It’s a nice colour combination for spring 🙂
I love this outfit on you and the colors look so great with your skintone! While I like to pair green with green, I think that green really pops against purple and lilac as well.
I have one green Target sweater and love it to death…I think it’s on it’s last legs..LOL
You look great in green!
I really like green, I think I need more of it in my wardrobe! I think its a great color for you!
I don’t have many greens either and I have the same problem I don’t know what to wear with it. I have a bright green BR cardigan I never wear…I’m planning to wear it this year for St. Paddy’s Day though (so maybe you’ll see a blog post in a few weeks). I like your shade of green more….trust me its easier to wear than my bright green!
I really love the colour green. I have a handful of green pieces in my wardrobe.
I am not sure if there are any tips I could share, aside from just making sure you have the right green for your skin tone.
I love the cut of that green sweater on you btw. Very lovely

I don’t have many green items in my closet either. Military style is huge this Spring so maybe I’ll find something green that I love. You look great in green though. The boots go well with the outfit.
This works to me – I love the pairing of different green textures with the denim and gray boots 🙂
I’ve actually never heard of the the “Asians shouldn’t wear green” thing but I have heard it about yellow!
I own only one green item of clotting and that’s my green cardi in my latest post. I really love green too but have no idea how to style it or what colours compliment it. I really like this shade of green your wearing, it’s more on the neutral side which is good. P.S. Those boots are fantastic!
I like green but I have had trouble styling olive green in the past (I don’t currently own one.) I like the brighter hues, personally. I haven’t heard about that thing about Asians and green haha! I’m glad, because now, I’m actually thinking of trying olive green again.
I’ve heard the same thing as grace, but I wear green anyway! I figured as long as you wear it with confidence, anything can be pulled off 🙂 You look great in green. The shades you chose are quite neutral and goes perfectly with jeans and boots!
I actually am drawn to green – I have a green sweater and a dark green shell from LOFT. Love the green shirt here. For some reason, one of my Chinese friends’ commented how Asians should never wear green. I have no idea why she said that since I think that green can look great on Asians!
Green can be a tricky color but I’m glad it showed up this Fall with a huge bang! The green with the grey boots really compliment your entire outfit. I have a warmer skin tone so I like warm colors. I desperately want to wear bright yellow but I think it will just make me look really ill and wash me out entirely.
now that i think about it, i dont think i own a single green piece! but i love how you paired it with gray–just lovely.
